Okay, I just have to know something.... if you dislike the Sienna so much why in the world did you buy one? You seem to think so fondly of your sister's Odyssey or your T&C. So, why do you have a Sienna? You rarely have anything positive to say about the vehicle. Of course I already had one by the time I read any of your posts, but if I hadn't I would really be wondering if buying a Sienna would be the right thing for me, based on your negative experience! It's really sad that this vehicle has not been able to live up to your obviously high expectations. On the other hand, I had one before, so I pretty much knew what I was getting into, and I reallly like mine!

I agree with you siennami, if you hate it so much get rid of it. That's why we got rid of our Piece of crap 05 Chrysler Town&country. The T&C was a gutless piece of garbage to us . It was not more quiet or stable then our Sienna. It's like a night and day difference to us and everyone that ridden in both our old T&C and our current Sienna. I love my Sienna and would only buy another Sienna. Drove both the Odyssey and newer T&C both are not as nice as the new and my current Sienna to me.

I test drove a 2005 Sienna and was impressed with the power and performance. The driver's seat is almost as comfortable as the Odyssey seat and the Sienna LE cost much less than the Odyssey EX. I did NOT realize at the time that the lack of separately controlled temperature was as important as it is. My wife wants cool air and I want warm air in the Spring and Fall. In the summer, I can close the vents on my side to moderate the temperature but cannot regulate it in Spring and Fall.

Postive things about the Sienna which I have written many times: Largest cargo area behind 3rd row seat, very attractive interior with nice padded armrests on front doors with nice storage compartment for glasses and cough drops, lack of brake pad dust on the wheels (which is a flaw with Chrysler brakes), good economy that is slightly better than the 2002 T&C LX.

I tried to trade off the Sienna in May 2006 but the Sienna depreciated faster than a Chrysler minivan. The Toyota dealer (also sold Dodge) and said my 2006 $ 29,000 Sienna LE with less than 3,000 miles was worth only $ 19,000.

I like my sienna, but love the ody's better...i'm thinking of getting rid of my sienna for an odyssey..i have run-flat tires and my car is soooo noisy..can't stand it. I keep getting a nail in it, and you guys know how much it costs to replace. Bought the car and 6 months later got a nail in it, had the tire replaced, a year later same thing, i have a screw in it this time and the other 3 tires need replacing because they're getting bald. This is my advice to all of you, do not get run-flat tires! You'll be paying out your wazoo just in tires...

2nd row, yes, but not the 3rd row.

Once in a while the wife will drive and I'll sit with the kids. The front passenger seat folds flat so I put a pillow up there and have a foot rest. Very nice, and very comfortable. I could take a nap there.

Total seat width for those 3 chairs is wider than the Ody's middle row. Same for the 3rd row. There is more width, take a tape measure and you'll see. A couple of inches in both rows, at least.

You find seat comfort better in the Ody, but that is subjective, because we are all shaped differently. I found the Honda's leather was very hard, and ruled that out right away. The LX cloth was good, the EX I didn't like as much. 3 across seating was too narrow with booster seats mounted on both outboard seats, so the Sienna won the seat comfort battle easily, by a wide margin actually.

Mine's very quiet, maybe some of your seals are bad?

Yes, the Sienna gives up the climate control, but you gain a Trip Computer, which you don't get in the Ody until you step up to the Touring model.

That's a big one for me. I refer to the mileage all the time, and would miss it a lot.

Again, subjective, what's more important to you? The ACC or the Trip Computer? To me it's the latter, your priorities may vary.

I made the mistake of placing more value on the Trip Computer than separately controlled temperature for driver, front passenger, and rear passengers when I got my 2006 Sienna LE.

The Odyssey EX has the ACC but NO Trip Computer but I could have purchased a GC SXT with Trip Computer AND separately controlled temperature for 3 zones (but NOT ACC) for less than I paid for my Sienna LE. (and also have power sliding doors both sides, cast wheels, and a cassette player).

As stated earlier, the 2007 Sienna has MORE power than the 2006 Sienna while keeping the same EPA fuel economy ratings and the price increase was very modest.

We got rid of our 2004 Toyota Sienna Limited AWD and got a used 2007 Sienna XLE with package 6.

We paid only $22,881 for it and it is fully loaded with only 20,805 miles. Awesome Deal

Love the new engine and gets way better gas mileage then our 04 AWD. I like the new opitron gauges a lot. Bluetooth is nice and the Dvd/Navigation is awesome!!!

WOW...VERY BIG DEPRECIATION for a fully loaded 1 year old Sienna XLE that proves my previous posts stating that Sienna's depreciate faster than Chrysler minivans.

Awesome deal is right! By my estimate that about 13K off the MSRP of a similarly equipped 2009. Around here the dealers want that much for a 2007 LE with EVP1 and wouldn't budge even when I told them they were nuts and walked away. If I could have found a deal like you did I would have bought used.

As it is, after 2 months and 3Kmiles we are still quite pleased with our 2008 LE with EV2 and Audio upgrade. It is quiet and quick and gets excellent fuel economy.

It was a Repo and bought at an Auto Auction here in the S.F. Bay Area, that's why they sold it so cheap to us. It also is missing it's second row seats but they ordered them and we are having them installed tomorrow. They were asking $25,000 but my grandma is a good negotiator

It is still worth $24,900 if we traded it in and $30,500 if the dealer wanted to sell it for that much. Check KBB. 08 Town&Country Touring's in my area are selling for $15-20K with under 30K miles.

Our van also has wheel covers but they are going to switch them tomorrow hopefully.
