I wondered if anyone had a picture or a description of where the Transmission Drain Plug is located on a 2005 Odyssey? do you have to take off any of the plastic shields to get to it? thanks, Steve

We have a 2002 EXL RES and just bought a 2008 EXL RES. I was looking to buy a Priority Start device for the 2002 to protect the battery from being discharged if an interior light is left on (darn kids, yeah that's it dear, it was the kids!), after having killed a few batteries over the years (although with the Wal-Mart 3 year battery I have not had to actually pay for a new one). I was wondering if that is still an issue with the 2008 and should I get one for each Odyssey? Thanks for any advice. |

| Does anyone know how/where I can sign up to be part of the Honda/Michelin class-action suit re; PAX tires filed in U.S. District Court in Maryland that consolidates class-action suits status so it can proceed in Arizona, Illinois, New York and Florida? I understand the same class-action suit in Las Angeles is under appeal. | |

I would also like info on the class action suite regarding the PAX tire system. I am currectly looking to remove them and replace with regular wheels and tires. My local dealer didn't offer any recomendations. Honda hasn't endorsed anything and they won't either due to possible liability. No one has any balls today, Where are the mechanics of the old days who changed gear ratios, cams, etc. to race or improve upon the factory mishaps? I have hated these tires from our first highway trip. Honda should come with an alternative that is cost effective. I don't mind buying new wheels and tires. Just give me some help. I am not a mechanic. The way I see it, Michelon sold them this special equiptment to handle these tires and now they want $ 75.00 per tire to mount more of the same crap. What a rip off. Get me in the lawsuit.

Replying to: stevei54 (Jul 29, 2008 7:00 am) Did you find the transmission drain plug? If not, it is an inverted plug located (obviously) at the bottom of the transmission on the left side of the engine oil pan. A 3/8" ratchet will fit into this drain plug which Honda says is a 18 x1.5mm or install a short 3/8" socket extension on your ratchet. No need to remove any of the plastic shields. I've had no leaks by reusing the original sealing washer (on the drain plug). The filler plug or bolt as Honda calls it, is hard to get to so I refill the transmission through the dipstick tube. Hope this helps! Dave |

I just purchased a used 2005 LX Odyssey with 36K. Can someone tell tell me if the door lock and side-view mirror switch on the drivers door are suppose to illuminate at night? The 4 window switches illuminate on the van but for some reason the door lock and side-view mirror switch just in front of them do not. The switches function but I simply cannot tell if they are suppose to illuminate at night. If they are suppose to - does anyone know what fuse No. may control that? Thanks
