Good afternoon forum! My wife's 2007 Ody has been trouble-free until now (outside of a cut runflat tire). When we start it up, there is a fast-paced clicking sound coming from inside the panel in the right rear of the van. It lasts about 30 seconds and stops, and we haven't noticed anything else different. It happens whether or not we immediately drive off. The Ody is a 2007 Touring model with all the bells and whistles if that makes a difference. Does anyone know what this might be and if there is a fix I don't have to go to the dealer for? I have an 07 LX and was thinking about the plus one seat, but have read on most sites that it will not work in an LX. Can anyone confirm this. I have see some folks saying you can put it in an LX, but it will not have a seat belt. If that is true, then I would ask why put it in if you have kids?   Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. We're making the drive from NJ to Orlando this fall and were bringing my family and my brother's.   Regards, Jeff

Wondering what people are buying for replacement tires for their 2007 Ody EX-L's? My local tire guy is suggesting Firestone Destination LE or Bridgestone Turanza's. Also a Kumho Solus KR 21. And...he can get the Michelin Energy LX4(that is what came with mine originally). Thx. Replying to: jwb18t (Jul 21, 2008 11:11 am) I went with Cooper CS4's. The Goodyear Comfortread would have been my 2nd choice. Yokahoma Avid TRZ's also seem to get good reviews on the Ody. The LX4 is a pretty low-rent tire, as are the Firestone and Bridgestone's you've mentioned. Are you looking for something better than OEM or just cheap? The Coopers are far better than the Michelins and so are the Goodyears from what I've seen. I tossed my OEM Michelins at 20k miles because they were half worn and were so noisy they gave me a headache on concrete roads. The Coopers are much better in every way and with 20k miles on them I really can't tell that they've worn at all. Thanks for the Cooper , Goodyear Comfortread, and Yokohama suggestions. I run Bridgestone Blizzaks in winter and want a great tire for the rest of the year. Several years ago I bought a set of Yoko Avid Touring tires for our Subaru Forester to replace the OEM Bridgestones, and they have been wonderful. Quiet, good wet traction, decent snow traction, they still have lots of wear left on them and they were a bargain to boot! They've made a believer out of me, so now I'm looking forward to replacing the Michelins. They drive OK but sure are loud.

The OEM's lasted 35K and probably could have gotten 40K, but since we were heading to the the beach, I made the switch. So far I have put 2800 miles on them and they are quieter. The downside is the gas mileage has decreased by 1-1.5 MPG. At 500 out the door, I thought it was a better deal than the Michelin's Also I got the 80K warranty compared to no tread warranty for the Michelin. No regrets, but would like the better mileage.

We have a 2002 EXL RES and just bought a 2008 EXL RES. I was looking to buy a Priority Start device for the 2002 to protect the battery from being discharged if an interior light is left on (darn kids, yeah that's it dear, it was the kids!), after having killed a few batteries over the years (although with the Wal-Mart 3 year battery I have not had to actually pay for a new one). I was wondering if that is still an issue with the 2008 and should I get one for each Odyssey?   Thanks for any advice.
