Infinity M35x Premium (with journey, technology and everything) by splashbm

Thanks to everyone on this forum, I decided to get the infinity M35x mostly because of info on this forum. I chose the M over the GS300 because the M blows the GS away! Plus I'm a tech guy, so gadgets is a huge plus.

I got the M35x with premium with XM option, which includes the journey, technology - pretty much everything they have. So far, I LOVE it! The intelli cruise is sweet and bluetooth is my favorite feature.

I'm located in Lansing, MI but drove to the nearest dealer to me, which is at Grand Rapids, MI. Their service was EXCELLENT. I will do business with them again, anytime. Buying experience was great.

Here is the breakdown of the deal...It doesn't sound as sweet as some of the deals I've seen other people on this forum talk about, but can someone comment...if this is an okay, good or bad deal?
Color: Black outside, Bourburn interior (which by the way is a sweet combo - i think). It had 1,200 miles on it already - they said someone ordered it before but didn't want it anymore.

Sticker price: $54,700
TMV from Edmunds: $53,873 (they actually showed this to me)
Invoice (according to them): $49,600
Final price (after negotiation): 51,633

Lease:
Term: 39 months
Miles: 15,000 per year
Residual: 59%
Lease factor: 0.00195
Upfront payment: $2,000

Final monthly price (which includes taxes): $720.32

How did I come out? It looks like it came out about $2,000 over invoice...I see a lot of folks here got as good as $1,000 over invoice. They claim they have always been able to do as much as $3,000 over invoice...and that they were giving me a big break...they also said that was the only premium in the area with the color combo that I liked.

I am so grateful to this forum, which saved me a lot of cash.

It was here I learned about the VPP program. It was such a painless stress-free way to buy a car.

Here's the deal I got this weekend. I posted all the lease info and some advice on the "Infiniti M35/M45: Leasing Questions" forum.

THE DEAL:

36 Month lease on M35 with Journey, NAV, mid flaps, truck mat, sirius.

$46,790 MSRP
$42,741 Invoice
$43,153 My Price

your price of $2033.00 over invoice ,especialy on a used car, is insane. On your particular car invoice would have been more like it. Nevertheless, I'm sure that you will enjoy your car. Next time it's Shop Shop Shop around.

I have to agree with hac2 on price. No way they should have gotten more than 50k. With that said, you got a car you love and the black/bourbon combo which is terrific. You've got to figure the 1200 hundred miles the car came with were not of the easy "break-in" variety. IMO be forewarned when a salesman says we're "giving you a big break", or "it's the only________ [you fill in the blank] in the area". They want to make $$$. As an fyi, I did buy an M35x on 1/12. Got red w/wheat, journey, tech, mud guards & mat for $46,903 or about 500 over invoice. Car came with 15 miles and is outstanding. vikes

I, too am grateful to these forums...never would have known about the VPP pricing.
VPP made my life so easy and made the decision to buy the M35X with Journey, Tech a no brainer.
Purchased the car at Infiniti of Chantilly in Northern Virginia, they were great, no pressure and everyone from the receptionist on up is dedicated to taking care of their customers. The 500 club that they offer is nice too...all service is free for 2 years 30K,
free oil changes for life, loaner car, free hand done car washes.

Deal I got was: $ 51,200 list
VPP price: $ 47,125.00

Great car...

I just bought an M35x w/ Journey, Tech, spoiler, chrome wheels and got it for 3% over invoice, or $1470. That was about $3000 off the sticker of $52,200. I think I got as good a deal as I was going to get. Bought the car at Ray Catena Infinity in Bridgewater,NJ. It was on the showroom floor and had everything I wanted. Picking it up on Friday - can't wait!

You guys need to come to St. Louis. Just took delivery of M35 with Journey and Technology packages Satellite radio splash guards and spoiler, no AWD nor Sport. Dealer did not haggle at all, offered me the car at invoice right from the get go. I almost wonder if I could have gotten it at below invoice but didn't try. Don't have exact figures but listed for $48,000 and something and got it for $44 and something. Traded in a GS300 and like the M35 so much more.

I would be pleased to meet you in St Louis for a deal like that. The question is did you get a fair deal on the trade in or is that where the dealer made his profit?

I bought my M35 with Journey, satellite, trunk mat and splash guards in Sarasota for $41,950. Car is white & wheat. Unable to get silver/bourbon. I had gotten quotes from 2 other dealers but this was best deal at Coast Infiniti....also closest. PS: they added pinstripe but would not offer free servicing.

I dealt with Bridgewater and they will easily give you 1% over invoice, so you should renegotiate. hac2
