Replying to: b3nut (Feb 21, 2006 12:46 pm) My KIA dealer in Michigan quoted me $550 *without* a new waterpump on a Spectra 2.0L. So... your dealer's in the ballpark as far as my experience goes.   Btw, to add a new waterpump into the repair, it will be another $230 bucks.   -SM

Unless you're doing mountain climbing (obviously a possibility in your locale)you should do much better on the highway. While my daily routine is still getting me 25 to 27 MPG (and I am NOT happy with this) my "pure" highway cruises at 70 to 80 mph are still netting a cool 44 MPG. Now that I'm flipping ecstatic over!   Oh, yea, for those who haven't read too far back in the threads...2006 Rio sedan, automatic, 3500 miles on it.
