Can anyone reccomend replacement tires for my 2006 Sonta 215/60/16. The original Michelins only have 27K. I am not happy with them at all. I was looking at replacing them with a General Tire Altimax HP V. Any feedback would be appreciated. Replies to this message: newowner10 (Dec 16, 2008 1:32 pm)

Replying to: marvin9 (Dec 16, 2008 11:07 am) What are you looking for the tires to do differently: 1) Quieter 2) Better performance in snow 3) Better rain performance 4.......  www.Tirerack.com is a good site for seeing your options and the cost.   I had some Goodyear Assurance Triple-tread and they improved the wet/snow performance greatly on my Mercury Sable. The tires it had would spin in the rain under moderate acceleration put the new Goodyear's on and I do not think I could get them to spin.

my 2006 has been jerking. hesitating whatever you want to call it ever since i had it and been in the shop a dozen times. it is not throwing a code but they think it is the torque converter. now i am told the2008's have had the same problem and it was a reprogram of the transmission but they haven't come up with the reprogram for the 2006 yet. whats up with this?? any one else have this problem? I have a 2006 Sonata with a 4 cyl. engine. When I am between 45 and 50 mph the car starts cutting out. No check engine light comes on. I have tried turning the AC on and off with no change. I have manually shifted to 4th gear because the service guy said it could be going in and out of overdrive.   The service people can't reproduce the problem and it is driving me crazy.   Has anyone else had this problem?   Thanks!   Replies to this message: backy (Jan 26, 2009 7:42 am)
