My 06 Sonata I4 Auto only has 10,000 miles on it but I notice that the manual calls for a fuel filter replacement at 30 mo. So my question is how many of you folks have had the filter replaced and how much did it cost? The reason I ask is the fact that the filter is in the gas tank. "Wow" what a location for a filter. I am sure Hyundai did this for a good reason but, Wow! A nice inline filter I could replace would have been nice! Any knowledgeable suggestions would be appreciated.

So about $100.00 for a gas filter change. I told the person I talked with that while my 06 Sonata was at the 30 mo position I only had 10,000 miles on it. She told me that if there was not problems with the car, such as lower gas millage or hard starting or other engine running problems, I was possibly safe out to 20 or even 30 thousand miles. So I am going to forgo any gas filter changes for the time being,

Can anyone reccomend replacement tires for my 2006 Sonta 215/60/16. The original Michelins only have 27K. I am not happy with them at all. I was looking at replacing them with a General Tire Altimax HP V. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I had some Goodyear Assurance Triple-tread and they improved the wet/snow performance greatly on my Mercury Sable. The tires it had would spin in the rain under moderate acceleration put the new Goodyear's on and I do not think I could get them to spin. |
