New 07 TC owner here. Love the car so far but found one nuiance. I find that even with the A/C or Heat is off when I'm on the hwy a tremendous amount of air comes out of the vents. Is there a way to stop this?

I posted on Murano in reply to several instances of this happening to our models..basically, debris from cars in front of you...pebble, nail... hits the thin A/C grille which by necessity is exposed to frontal airflow. ANY auto can have this, just as that same missle could break your windshield. I purchased a segment of aluminum grille/grid used for keeping leaves out of gutters, cut it to slip into the grille opening, and it sits, without any screws or support in front of the A/C. Simple, effective and prevents the 1:1000 hit that can occur, without blocking air flow. John B from Murano Problems and Fixes

Hi, my name is Chris and I am writing you to see if you got your problem fixed on the tC. I just bought the 07 tC and I have the same problems. What did you do to fix it or did you get it fixed. Please email me back asap so that I may find out whether I need to take it in for service. Thank you.

mojo712.. how many miles do you have on it now? if it's under 1000 then i'd say let the car learn how you drive. the computer that controls the engine and transmission will learn how you drive. There is "grandma mode" where if you have to "get on the gas" quickly the car will act like it doesn't know what you want.. Then there is "sport mode" where it will aggressive select the gears. How do you get it in either of these modes? well.. if you drive aggressively the computer will always enable (once it sees on average how you're driving) the "sport mode" as i call it.
The "grandma mode" can give the sensation that the car has lost its mind and isn't responding to your inputs. Sorry to put grandma down like that

Only 2 ways to clear "grandma mode".. One is if the car is past break in, then drive a little more aggressively, the computer within about 2-3 days of driving (about 300-400miles) will catch up with what you're doing. The second way is take it to the dealer and have them clear the ECU memory of what the car has learned for the transmission. And then you can re-teach it how you drive. Hope the helps..
