Been reading these posts for the last half hour. Of course my 06 Impala has the same problem of no heat at idle. I burped the system yesterday and it took a half a gallon of coolant. While I was waiting for the air to dissipate I was looking through my owners manual. Noticed 2 pictures of the cap in there and each one said 18 psi. My cap is a 15 psi. Maybe they had 10,000 leftovers from a different engine they thought they'd get rid of and put them on our engines. Just a thought. Going to the parts store tomorrow for an 18 psi cap. How bout you?

Good morning hammurrzz,
It looks as though you're already in contact with us. Do you have a Service Request number (71-**********)?

Is it freezing up when she is using the remote start or when she is driving?
Apparently there was a TSB about the remote start on these cars - since they automatically turn on the heat when it's cold and a/c when it's hot - I guess that some of the programming for this was backwards. That is one of the first things they checked when I took my car to the good dealership.

Struggling and frustarted...as is Dealer!!!! Happens intermittently...but dealer has had it when IT occurs. Turn the car on...radio is on but it's like it is on mute (it is not).... On Star or phone not available as no access to radio....yet all chimes and blinker noise comes out of all my speakers at a Very Loud Volume. Have had a module replaced...radio replaced twice...May correct after turning car off and then restarted or may expeience for a full day....may return to normal...or sometimes it becomes the silent car...no radio(yet can scan stations and turn volume sky high)...no chimes...no blinker sounds HELP....started when car 3 months old....now 18 mnths into a 3 yr lease...GM says they will continue to try.......

All radio functions plus chime, On Star, Turn Signal are controlled and/or routed through the radio. Actually the radio makes the Chime and Turn Signal sounds itself in newer GM radios (including yours). So, it is to me, the radio is right in the middle of every action. It could be something else (connecting to the radio) is at fault and causes the radio screw-ups.
Sometime it is the radio computer's initialization problem. Every time you turn on the ignition, the radio computer starts the initialization process to turn everything on from the sleep mode. If somehow something causes improper initialization, the radio could lose some of its function or in worst case its audio processor could go brain dead.
Since this is intermittent problem, it is very hard for the dealer to troubleshoot and repair. If this is a design problem, more people should have reported already. Unless you are one of those unlucky owners of the new radio model (car makers do change design and/or supplier of components yearly to save some bucks).

I'm in the process of purchasing an 06 Impala LTZ and I noticed the blinkers are extremely loud - can this be remedied? The car has 36k on it and appears quite clean - anything else I should be looking for? Thanks in advance

My problem I think is a very isolated case....fortunate for you /unfortunate for me LOL. My blinker noise, when working normally, is actually very faint....to the point I often find it gets left on at times and the car then chimes at you to remind you. When I bought the car I initially asked if it was possible to make the noise a bit louder. but they said they had no control over the volume. Wow and 3 months later the full volume blinker became one of my issues.
If I didn't have this isolated problem I would highly recommend the Impala....it is a great car to drive both in the city and is great on the highway....perfect size too if you are looking for the extra room that some imports don't have...the trunk space has amazed many people....4 sets of golf clubs are not an issue.

My question is how do I decrease the volume of the turn signal?
