Hey cnw...count me in too..I'm not too far off you guys and I'm sure there are more than four of us out here........
I too have a gorgeous '06 black on black 2LT with some very nice SS upgrades and Mods . You have heard me say it here before... I LOVE MY CHEVY !!! Hey, count me in for owning and running my share of some of those potent muscle cars back then i.e 396's etc. etc. and especially the rare 427 cid (425 hp) big block Chevelle from GM I once had . Dreammmmming.......Oh Well!!

So...any of you guys know of anyone who has installed a supercharger in their 2006/2007. Now don't jump on me here, I know there could be some BIG warrantee issues ..... I'm just more curious about what performance results it has on the Impala ..Any info/experience here....??

           Later...

P.S Hey Ron..just remember that all the Canadian jokes go on the other forum page..!! Wouldn't want you to fall from grace you know.

Well, first you would have enjoyed the reliability of the 2 speed powerglide, you couldn't kill them! And secondly, I doubt if it was a 327....because 327's didn't come out til '62. It could have been the 283 which was the soon to be (in '62) the327, or it could have been the big block 348, which was a "gas guzzler!!..We use to call those things "the hogs". Unless that old man had the engine changed to a 327, you either had a 283 or 348. Either way you would have had a great time in that " baby Cadillac". The '58 Impalas were called that because of all the glitz and gaudy chrome on them! A Mint condition "58 today will run you $75,000...Anyway, it was nice hearing your story.........talk later....

Right on the 283 or 348 available on the 58 Chevy. The "big" 348 block was actually a truck engine, available in '58 with a dual quad option, lots of torque, but a slow revving engine, though a strong one. Buddy had the 283, single quad engine, high and fast revving, some felt that was the better option. Sure like to have a clean '58 with either now!

thanks for the reminder, Frank........anyway.., My Impala is doing great, no problems as of yet. reading the posts here, I realize that my SS is the stripped down version...I mean I have just the basic options...guess thats why I paid just over 20k for it....

See, there's always a silver lining. Mine's loaded, but it stickered for about 32.8K and since I bought it near when it came out, I paid a whole lot more than you did. That's got to make you feel better.

Wbow199 stated in another post(electrical) that his '06 LT 3.5L did not have a tire pressure monitor. Is this possible on an '06..????
