Wasn't the Catera an Omega? Or was it Vectra based?

Omega. Still plenty of them on the road in Germany (Catera is fading fast, barely see them anymore), some still in taxi fleets - but are diesels, and I suspect that makes the difference.

On the car buyer topic, I received a voicemail today from the place I bought from - in 2006, asking me to come in and look at the 2 MBs they have on the lot - a boring spec C-class and a lightly equipped E coupe. Not what I need.

I looked at the ATS at the auto show here a couple of months back. The exterior looks good but I wasn't impressed at all with the interior. It was way to cramped, even for this size/segment. The reviews are intriguing though and while I wouldn't buy one you're right, it is a lot of car for the money.

Wow. I love the color combo. A lot of the used ones I look at dont have folding rear seats, which is an option I would want.

The Truth About Cars posted a close up picture of the instrument cluster in the ATS. It looked like something out of a 1984 Camaro.

since we were discussing Caddys. I actually like this one a lot, even the color, and seems like a total OCD owner. And right near by! Price seems to be not that bad, though miles are a bit steep.

Or get a "real" Caddy. love the thermometer. Someone find Lemko.

Or one for TJC

Now, this is what made America great, right? Amazing condition for one of these.

Or do it the German way.

I like the Subie and the Fiesta; and a high school buddy had a Pinto Cruising Wagon with that wild graphics package:

Nice car there. Not my choice of color (prefer darker blue), but must be a blast to drive. Ambitious price though.

If it was RWD I'd be EXTREMELY tempted...
