Good luck with that... .probably has a lot more.. It looks great for an '03, though....

I think HK was standard on M3s...... It was standard on the 330i for most of the E46 run... (option on 325i)

It may be. I still regret not jumping on tha2004 Titanium/Imola I found that only had Xenons, H-K and 19" wheels. No sunroof, no power seats... Perfect- for me, anyway.

We already have a RWD nice mostly sporty sedan in the Lexus. The Prelude is a sporty coupe ... what's missing is a small wagon or utility. Is there such a thing as a fun-to-drive wagon or sedan? BMW wagons are out there but then we get back to the price issue. I've heard a lot of people are unhappy with their X3's. Thought about a CRV but seems that the 07's had a differential issue and the new ones are way expensive .. might as well get a BMW.

The '07 CR-Vs had some sort of noise issue with the diff or AWD system, I think it was corrected by changing the fluid. I've read several posts about an unfixable vibration that Honda calls a "harmonic tingle" on the current generation of CR-Vs.

I didn't even pay attention to the year I am spacey this week.

I agree with kyfdx go look at a 9-3. You can buy 2007 anniversary editions with the six year 100,000 CPO warranty for mid-high teens now depending on the mileage.

210 hp turbocharged 4 cylinder and mid 30s mpg with a manual on the highway. An automatic gives you low 30s.

2007 models got six speed manuals as standard equipment too. 2006 and under 9-3s were five speeds unless they were an Aero and you don't want the Aero V6 motor.

The anniversary edition gave you all the good stuff from the Aero (Nicer interior, nicer seats, more leather, nicer leather, better wheels, little spoiler, better sound system etc.) but without that Turbo V6. I would rather have the lighter more efficient 210 hp 4 cylinder then the big heavy inefficient 255 V6.

Have you considered the Subaru XT, either the Outback or the Forester? It was even available (for a short time) with a manual transmission!

Subaru

(It bugs me when they take the interior photos with the steering wheel upside-down)

Would you ever really buy a bmw? If you want one, you need to focus on that, IMO. The saab is easy to rule out, reliability, I'd get an Audi way before a saab. ("Sob" is what you do when the warranty runs out on a Saab). Camry???? More boring than the honda you just sold. TL, fine, but how many accords have you already owned?

My list: bmw 3, lexus GS, or MDX. I can't remember your current fleet, but if you don't have an SUV or wagon already, that's what I'd get.....

Oh god not an Audi.

Seriously an Audi out of warranty scares me much more then any Saab ever would. The saabs are relatively simple compared to an Audi. Parts prices are much more reasonable and depending on your area finding a good independent saab mechanic is much easier then a good Audi one.

Pick your poison Audi is either much less relaible then a Saab or the other way around.

consumer reports says one thing

and JD Powers says the exact opposite

CR is trying to predict reliability of 2010 models while JD Powers is saying what 2006 models are doing. There were a lot of changes to the 9-3 in particular between 2006 and just 2007 so that explains some of it. The 9-5 got a few changes over the past three years and the least reliable model the 9-7X was dropped for 2010.

Interesting on the CR report it says the 9-5 is the worst model for model year 2010. I guess CR knows something I don't because as far as I know there won't be a 2010 9-5 and when the 9-5 does come out for the 2011 MY it will be an all new model.

The economy is such that I have never had a BMW sales person not offer a test drive. In fact, they have been particularly accommodating all along.

From what I understand used cars are particularly profitable to boot. If you had one who walked away from you without that, that would be unbelievable.

Although the Q5 is supposedly in very short supply, even the Audi salesperson was anxious to have me try out everything and then did any number of follow up phone calls. Ditto other premium manufacturers. In fact, the only people who seemed to be fat and happy were the Prius guys.

That must be saying something about the future of gas prices.

Try following the thread a little better; I was calling a Porsche dealer located 110 miles away from where I live...
