eh. I inspected/sat in a G8 GXP at the autoshow. It felt pretty cheap to me. I just didn't compare in fit/finish/materials to the likes of Volvo or Infiniti, for example. I expected much more based on the mag reviews. Still felt like a typical Chevy to me.

I'll have to pay closer attention the next time I sit in a G8. I remember mainly being impressed by how roomy it was inside. One cheap bit that did jump out at me though, was the door handles on the inside seemed pretty low-rent. Other than that though, I don't remember anything really annoying catching my attention.

pay attention to the feel of the door as you open and close it, too. Felt like a tin can. Reminded me more of a Neon than my G35.

The local Chevy / Buick / Pontiac / GMC / Hummer dealer has one G8 GT on the lot ... bright blue. I think the MSRP was around $34-35K.

I did see a black G8 GT at the gas station where I normally fill up. Driven by a 40-something woman who was quite scantily dressed.

(not sure what that says about the owner or the car, or perhaps it's just that the weather has been particularly nice lately)

40-something, that's outrageous!

just spotted one in the local autoshopper. '09 GT with 3100 miles, automatic, moonroof. $21k!
Now, for that kind of value, I could stomach the quality.

I agree! After my lease is up on my 08 GM car, I will not return to GM! I will not make this mistake again! Love the car! Hate the engine!

By that time, GM probably won't be around for you to return to anyway.

Pitiful that our great country can't offer reasonable health care for every citizen...more like OBSCENE!

This great country does offer exceptional health care to every one of its citizens. If you are unable to pay for those services, it only hurts your credit rating. That doesn't seem like the end of the world to me.
