They wouldn't be CPO, but with a little negotiation, you could probably get out the door for the same amount as your '06... Since an '07 is a year newer, you get more use out of the original warranty, offsetting some of the value of the CPO warranty on the '06.. I'd expand your search to include non-CPO cars, and use that as a measuring stick against your deal... that will also open up a lot more choices... regards, kyfdx |

Thanks. I was under the impression that a CPO of 2006 would be a better buy.. The warranty is for 6years or 100k miles?

I guess my main point... is that if you entertain that alternative, it's going to quadruple the number of cars that you can consider... giving you a better chance to get a better deal.. regards, kyfdx |

Thanks kyfdx. I have suggested to him $16800 all in, out the door price, CPO. If he accepts that price for this model and year, would I be doing good or bad please? According to Edmunds pricing I'm not sure. How much would you say for this also; up for $1995 CPO 18044 miles, 60th anniversary edition automatic.I appreciate your advice. Hi guys, I am about to make my first purchase from a dealer and I luckily stumbled upon this thread. I am looking at a CPO '06 Sprotcombi 2.0T with about 30k on it with a listed price of $17995. My question is the following: would it be totally out of line for me to offer $15k (or less) for the car? If it *is* out of line, what is a realistic price to shoot for? It has been on the lot for about two months. thanks! |
