9-3 Sportcombi 2.0T Purchase by ledwinka

Dear all,

I am hoping to buy a MY2007 9-3 Sportcombi (2.0T model) in the Northeast, specifically in vicinity of Syracuse, NY area.

The options that I am looking into are:
1. Premium Package 17
2. 5 AT
3. Power Sunroof
4. Premium Audio Package
5. Cold Weather Package
6. Roof Rails
(Colors would be either Silver or Fusion Blue)

Edmunds.com, with my zipcode, shows a TMV value of around 30600. Interestingly, the Bluebook's 'New Car Blue Book Value' on the identical settings would show 27830. Why the discrepancy, and which one would reflect the real world numbers?

Also, the above price is only after the $3000 rebate that is effective from early April to early July. I will be able to make a purchase only after this period, so I am wondering if this kind of discount would be appliable after the effective dates, more so with the new facelift 9-3 due this Summer...

If there is anyone who has any information regarding this, it will be greatly be appreciated. Also, any recommendation in good Saab dealer in Northwest NY, or NY state as a whole?

Purchased 2007 9-3 2.0T for $25100 after rebates, etc. Options were moon roof, premium audio/XM, auto transmission and metallic paint. Ellis Saab was easy to deal with. Nice car! We now own 3 Saabs!

my daughter is in the market for this same car - first, congrats. on your purchase....
is this the OTD price, or do I need to factor tax, tag, prep....etc., in other words.. what did you pay to drive it off the lot - I assume that Ellis Saab is in Atlanta??? We're in SC - could be worth the trip - any help would be most appreciated.

That was not the OTD price. They add $399 "dealer service charge", and $39 tag fee. I also purchased (based on my 2 other Saabs) a 7 year/100,000 mile $0 deductible bumper to bumper coverage for $2000.

Breakdown -
Price - $31014
Dealer service - +$399
Tag - +$39
Rebate/discount - -$6000
Trade in - -$15200 - better than any other dealers' offer

SAAB- bought & the price went down the next day HELP by catesmom

Looking for advice about my July 2007 new 9-5 SAAB Aero purchase. I purchased my car on a Monday at 5pm, knowing it would have a $3,000 rebate/price incentive from GM, along with an owner loyalty incentive. The NEXT day (Tuesday) rebates on the car increased to $4,000. Basically, the dealer has told me that the $1,000 loss is my tough luck. If it were just about any other purchase, I could visit with the customer service department and achieve resolution. Any advice about who, how, where to follow up? - anyone have this happen and successfully seen the price difference refunded? (this is my 5th new Saab... what ever happened to Saab taking care of their customers!?!)

Buy a 2007 9-3 2.0T for $500 over invoice before incentives? by piperjack

Hi all

I am considering buying a 2007 9-3 2.0T sedan. I am thinking of a 6-speed manual with the 17" premium package.

I would love to get feedback from recent buyers on whether the following deal looks do-able and if I've missed any major points or costs.

Thanks!

Given all the incentives floating around, my thought was to offer $500 over invoice before incentives or

Invoice pricing

Sedan $24.9K
17" PPackage $1.8K
Metallic Paint $500
Destination $745
+
Dealer Profit $500

for a total of $28.5K before tax

Minus rebates of $4K+$500+$500 = $5K

Gets to $23.5K. Add TT&L (So Cal) of ~10% = $2.35K

Gets me to $25-26K for the car out the door. Does this seem right?
