I'm not sure what you mean about not getting incentives if you are financing, unless I am missing something. Which by all means please tell me!!

I've been quoted by 2 different dealers, one in MA, and other in FL for 93 Linear:
Sale price $24,416 w/auto trans and the metallic paint which is supposed to include the (1) Employee discount which I was quoted to be $26,894 (MSRP $28,920), and less (2) $2500 incentive (purchase). Your price of $23,900 seems to be in line with the quotes I received for auto trans only.

Questions: (1) Has anyone been able to negotiate out of the $500 extra for the metallic paint? (2) One of the dealers in FL also is trying to charge $550 for a "Dealer Service Fee", which is highly inflated. How far down have people been able to negotiate to a "fair" price?

(3) Any more insights into the greater incentives GM will have for Saab? These 2 dealers are saying they are running low on inventory for 2005 already.

buy_low,

it seems like the dealer that you worked with was willing to negotiate on pricing and such. It seems like you got a very nice price. Would you mind sharing the name of your dealer? Thank you

Where is the $2500 incentive (beyond GM employee proce) coming from? Is it based on lease only? Is it regional?

It is for a purchase, not lease. I don't think its regional b/c I got similar quotes from both the NE and South regions of the U.S. The $2500 less than the GM employee price is supposed to dealer cash.

9-3 Eligible For GM Card Points??? by gringo1

Hi,
I posted this on the 9-2 board also.

Anyone know whether Saabs are eligible for GM card points?

Since GM is pulling out the stops to sell vehicles, I wonder if GM is allowing GM Card to be used for Saab purchase or lease.

Thanks,

Lease Incentives vs. GM Discount on 9-3 by chgogirl

I checked the Saab website yesterday about the GM discount and final cost of the 9-3 Linear, the price is listed as $22681 with the GM discount - does anyone know if this includes the lease incentives that the dealers are offering? Or should I subtract the $2500-4500 from the $22681? And, how can I find out how much the lease incentives really are?

I visited a dealer yesterday in Central New Jersey that quoted me the following:

Initial Cap Cost $24,872 (Including auto trans and heated seats, and supposedly after discounts and incentives)
Bank Fee $795
Registration $230
Doc Fee $169

$753.88 down/$347.38 per month for a 36 month/10,000 mile lease

Does this sound okay? By the way, I need your advice quickly, I'm leaving for another dealership at 2:00 eastern.

Thanks!

I believe the 22681 is with the purchase incentive. The incentive is 1000 more when you lease.

Yes!! They have to apply the discount to the add-ons. You can call Saab directly to get the discounted prices, just so you're prepared when you start negotiating with the dealer!

Great advice! Thanks! Called 1-800-SAAB-USA & they gave me discount prices for all features I'm interested in. Good to know, as a dealer quoted me on a 9-3 ARC only applying GM employee discount to base msrp!
