With the automatic, the car was very sluggish off the line and the engine/exhaust sound was very unimpressive, a wheeze rather than a growl. We own an Infiniti FX which maybe has spoiled us, but this car was a total disappointment. GM will be dropping a new V6 in the 9-3 in a few months, but by then the GM discount will be long gone. Don't know what to do, great looking car, great ride, lousy power... Maybe it is just us. Jon. |

My dealer has an ARC on the lot with auto trans, metalic paint and power moonroof. for $26545 with all incentives and discounts. I don't want the moonroof so I'm going to try and negotiate the price down further. For those of you who have already purchased during this promotion, any luck negotiating price down beyond advertised emp discounts and incentives? How about the lease options. Did anyone feel the lease fees were fair or do you get hosed? |

Replying to: madmax252 (Jun 19, 2005 11:11 pm) As I said, we LOVED the SAAB but for what we perceived as uninspired acceleration. I will call the dealer for another drive and, yes, it is the one with 210 HP that we test drove. Just for the record, I am not a gear head, I don't drive at high speeds or otherwise dangerously but I do like some "umph" off the line. Back to the SAAB dealership it is then! So, how much are others getting off the 9-3 Arc convertible other than the standard GM employee discount? Thanks, Jon. |

Seems like an awful lot of people have leased these this month, but I can't put my finger on the actual numbers. I've dug throught the posts here, but maybe I missed something. Can someone who has leased a 9-3 this month chime in? I'm looking for Residual for 36 mo./10K or 12K and I'd like to know what kind of Money Factor Saab is offering. Thanks |

Replying to: ckingtw (Jun 18, 2005 11:33 pm) I've been quoted by 2 different dealers, one in MA, and other in FL for 93 Linear: Sale price $24,416 w/auto trans and the metallic paint which is supposed to include the (1) Employee discount which I was quoted to be $26,894 (MSRP $28,920), and less (2) $2500 incentive (purchase). Your price of $23,900 seems to be in line with the quotes I received for auto trans only. Questions: (1) Has anyone been able to negotiate out of the $500 extra for the metallic paint? (2) One of the dealers in FL also is trying to charge $550 for a "Dealer Service Fee", which is highly inflated. How far down have people been able to negotiate to a "fair" price? (3) Any more insights into the greater incentives GM will have for Saab? These 2 dealers are saying they are running low on inventory for 2005 already.
