Actually, maybe my sentiment should be   Am considering replacing it with the Saab convertible. Are Saabs any good these days? I haven't paid any attention since GM bought them, since I figured they'd ruin the product. We also have a 02 95 and the inspired turbo engine makes it very fun to drive.   I think the one car that makes Saab famous is its convertible, much adorned by educated women. The new 93 convertible is more masculine than its predecessors and I think it's a beauty. I just spotted the new Volvo C50 convertible here on edmund.com and it looks awesome (hard-top four seater convertible, wow that is a world's first) http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=105967   GM hasn't done much with Saab engine, only beginning to borrow Saab's turbo technology. Volvo is becoming a very successful/distinguished brand and sales are increasing. I think GM can lend hands in the marketing department and leave the engineering & designing to Saab, and hopefully Saab can make the same run that Volvo has.

I had no doubt that Volvo new convertible would be sweet. But how much more expensive will the C50 be than the current price you can get a 93 for? I'm sure I'd like the C50 more, but....will I like it 10k more?   of course, I picked up my Volvo XC90 at the factory, and I'd LOVE another trip to Sweden to do the same. I told myself that that was the only way I was going to buy a car in the future, but the current GM discounts appear to be too good to ignore.   I wonder if I can combine overseas delivery with the employee discount.......? Replying to: adp3 (Jun 16, 2005 11:20 am) Given the starting price of the S40 at 23K, from what I heard the C50 would start about 10K more, which is the same starting price of the current Saab convertible with employee discount ($32,9 wow sure is a too good of a deal to ignore) but I think it's never too late to get one, other creative promotion will come along. The C50 won't be available for at least another 9 months, but a Saab convertible is also very nice.

Hi Everyone,   I have some questions about leasing a Saab 9-3 Linear. I have been looking at a couple of dealerships already and at the latest one, this sales person seemed to give me some interesting deal (or is it?).    And here is what this sales guy quoted me:    SAAB Linear 9-3 with a manual transmission and a moonroof in a metallic paint    MSRP: 29295 Sales price: 26665 Rebates: 3500 RV: 39% MF: 0.0015 Term: 48 mo No down payment, no upfront money, just the first monthly payment Monthly payment = $345    Does this seem like a good deal? Compared to the one I got from other sales reps previously, this looks better. What do you experts think? Do you know how much the rebates were last month for purchases? I can get S-plan and am waiting for this promotion to end myself before I buy my 9-3.

But the sale price I mentioned is the GM employee discount for the car I'm interested in. I think there is also a rebate for purchase although I'm not sure how much. Anyone?   kyfdx, the mileage allowance is 12K mi a year. Is a 48-mo lease really too long? I just think that for me it's about right because changing my vehicle every 4 yr seems okay.
