#977 of 1634 OEM tires by nodule

Does anyone here know what OEM tires Hyundai intends to
put on the 2007 Elantra? Will they go aagain with the mediocore
Michelin MXV4 plus again??
On Saturday, I just replaced my OEM Michelins on my 2005
GLS with only 21000 miles with the Komho Solus KH16.
Wow! What a huge improvement in ride smoothness and comfort
and better handling, particularly in the rain!
This is a great replacement for our OEM Michelins!

By the way...I didnt replace OEM Michelins due to low
thread life...I just wanted a better riding and tire
that would be smoother and more quiet!
The tires were wearing perfectly even all around, but the
ride was somewhat rough, I felt.

Interestingly, Hyundai has said nothing about the tire brand in press releases and on their web site. They did mention the Michelin tires on the 2001-06 Elantra prominently. So that may mean there will be other tires on the Elantra, but not clear yet. One thing we do know is that 16-inchers will come standard on the SE and Limited, but 15" on the GLS (as today).

Im wondering if it is just me, or does the new 2007 Elantra's
new exterior styling look rather effeminate?? The first pictures of it triggered that in my mind. I think it does
look rather girly, almost something that a woman would
drive! I was very disappointed when I saw it.

Im wondering all the members thoughts here...

It's just you.

Ok Backy thanks........I guess the reason I ask is because
in central new jersey, the vast majority of individuals who
drive Elantra GLS's are middle-aged women! And they seem to
treat it as a disposable, throw away car.

I always thought New Jersey was a weird state.

Maybe with the new Elantra going upscale in size, features, and price, fewer people will think of it and treat it like a disposable, throw-away car. They aren't $10k basic transportation anymore.

Just wondering... how do you know that all these middle-aged women are treating their Elantras as disposable, throw-away cars? You're not a stalker of middle-aged women, are you???

Funny Backy...........It wasnt my intention to offend all
male GLS owners. Im sorry, but im just stating here what
I observe here. Their GLS's appear to be rather beatup looking, even the 04-05s. Worn down tires and scraped up
hubcaps and a lot of scrathes on body. Many women in my
very nice condo community drive GLS's, so I see them all
the time.
There is nothing wrong with NJ...its a wonderful state! No,
I im not a stalker! I have better things to do with me time
here at The Institute for Advanced Study in beautiful Princeton.

There isn't? Could have fooled me. Spent time near NYC (have relative in the oranges) not much to speak of there. And spent two months of misery in Cape May.

There are other states I would rather be in.

Its certainly not very polite to disparage where folks live here.
