| I am the unhappy owner of a 2005 Chrysler 300 Touring AWD. It was purchased in Feb. 2005 and after 5000kms. the road noise had started. At 16,000kms. we had to buy new tires and now at 30,000 kms. we need to buy new tires again. The tires were Continental Self sealing and they are so scalloped that the noise is unbearable. This car has had so many alignments and tire rotations that we now have to buy all new wheel nuts. Chrysler would not cover the tires so we had to go to Continental and fight our own battles for new ones. This time we are on our own. I can't understand how they expect to sell cars if they produce expensive vehicles that need tires every 10 months. I have never been so disgusted and this is my first and last Chrysler. | |

My Fiance and I purchased our car with only 15,580 miles June of 2005 and everything was great up until a few months ago. We now have 27,000 miles on it. We found that we were filling up more frequently so I began monitoring MPG. The car went from 21MPG to 16.5MPG. I have been on top of the maintenance and even doing maintenance earlier than suggested. 1. Oil changed every 3 months (approx. 2600 miles). 2. Just had Recall work done to transmission so tranny fluid has been replaced. 3. Had radiator flushed at last oil change. 4. Replace engine air filter when dirty. (inspect once a month) Just purchased K&N High Performance Filter that is designed for the stock intake housing. "Has gained the engine more horsepower but has not changed the fuel efficiency." 5. Get tires rotated at every oil change. PCV valve is being replaced next week. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Replying to: xtec (Sep 07, 2006 10:17 am) I have been using fuel from QT (Quick Trip) since I have had my car. I decided that I would change back to CHEVRON fuel on my last fill up since I have never had a bad experience using CHEVRON fuel on my past vehicles. |

I drove a company 2001 Intrepid for a couple of years and when in cruise control, not only would it accelerate to maintain speed uphill, but it would also downshift to maintain speed downhill. Was great for driving through the Adirondacks. My 300C doesn't maintain speed downhill--not a big issue in OK but still, it's a feature I miss. Any idea why it wasn't maintained?
