The car does have them -- they are marked on the interior and on the window sticker reflects them as there. That was one of the must-haves on the car.
Off to report to NHSTA.

2006 Chrysler Limited - Flooded Trunk by mendozaj1974
May 18, 2006 (8:21 am)
Has anyone had the problem of a flooded Trunk with the Chrysler 300? I was on my way to the Yankees game yesterday, and my electrical system was going haywire. I checked the Battery in the trunk, and there was 3 inches of water in there. I have no clue how this happened, but my spare and Jack were both rusted, so this must have been happening for a while.

Thanks!

I purchased a 2006 awd 300c, which I had to wait nine months for delivery. I have already experienced two throttle position sensor failures while on the road. The car just dies. It is presently in the shop for the second failure. Has anyone else experienced this problem? All the service dept. tells me, is all they can do is replace the defective sensor. But this will be the third sensor, including the original one. Any suggestions??

Know The Truth " Tires and Rims changes Ride" by mbutler1
May 19, 2006 (7:53 pm)
-I have a black beautiful 300c that I have added a lot of extra features to. But the last thing Ive had done to it was dressing it out with 20"s{rims and tires}. It definitely turned heads even more. But thats the Worst thing I could of done as far as keeping the smooth ride I use to have. Car started shaking so I went back to have the balancing checked again. Nothen Changed!! So I went back and told then if they cant stop the shaking to either put my old back on or just give me some new tires and rims. They gave me another brand new set of differant rims and tires. And this time I had them to put in the new thing thats happening with tires now.{nitrogen} No change in the ride! So they said they had to order a Piece that goes in the center of the tires to stop the vibrating. It works about 70% but you still have a slight vibration. SO NOW WHAT? So to all my 300 readers, If its looks only youre concern with, go for it. But say goodby to your smoooooooth ride!! C YA

I have to comment on the nitrogen thing that's been going around for a couple of years now in this area. The nitrogen makes up 78% of your air already. Adding more nitrogen to the tires won't make a dollar of difference unless you're driving a semi and use the same tire carcass with retreading for a few hundred thousand miles. Then the lack of oxygen aging the rubber from inside would be _lessened_, not stopped. Bypass the gimmick.

Hi. What state are you in? I like my car but I've had these wierd electrical/computer problems since day 1 with my driver's seat, the windows, and an airbag light. I'm getting tired to taking it to the dealership and having them simply reset something only to have the problem come back.

What did you do to kick off your "lemon-law" process?

Thanks for the help in advance.

TWO 300'S TWO LEMONS!!! by my300
May 22, 2006 (11:38 am)
I have my second 300 since November 05 and this one is a LEMON too! My first 300 broke three times by January 06 with a "faulty computer program for the transmission"in their words. The first time I took it in they "adjusted" it, two hours later it was broke again, the second time, the same day, they said there was a new program coming out in two weeks, "a manufactures recall", 10 weeks later we were still waiting for our car to be fixed. I had finally had enough and demanded a replacement car. I was denied one until after 11 weeks of them having my car sit there "waiting for government approval" was their latest excuse. I threw a fit and threatened to go to the news stations about this recall that they are hiding from the public and the next day got a brand new 300, paying the extras for a few upgrades and being guaranteed that this car would be fine, the other car was just a fluke. I now have 1400 miles on this new 300 and I have exactly the same problem with this one as I did with my first. The computer program for the transmission clunks and shifts very hard. I am now battling with the manufacturer again...as this time I want my money back not a new 300!!!! The program is still not available

I am in Hawaii...First, we had more than 30 days of service ( not necessarily in a row) for the same issues... we had 2 issues that we never directly resolved... after the 5th visit to the dealerships service dept.( the car was four days NEW when the problems started) we asked for the Chrysler rep .. if you file a petition for the lemon law, you need to do so in writing to the dealership AND Chrysler corporation.. read up on the lemon law in your state and SAVE all your paper work from your service visits... My dealership really worked well with us I have to say, They seemed just as puzzled about the problems in that they couldn't get the problems resolved... my opinion is that Chrysler has some major quirks with their products... I will not be buying another.. the 300 touring we own was our first and last Chrysler product...
Ps: when we started talking lemon with the service manager, he told me that we HAVE to give them an opportunity to fix the problem since the car has a warranty... I asked him , okay, what are you going to do different that the last 5 visits weren't able to resolve? he knew then I had HIM in the corner and I wasn't going round 6 with them or the car... the Chrysler rep finally came to meet with us, he offered us a new car as well, however, since we had miles on the car, they take a depreciation for every thousand miles and only give you piddleys for the car you payed top dollar for.. I find when you sqwack the loudest, they either want to get rid of you, or try and resolve your issues.. GOOD LUCK
