Hi Connor, I emailed you at the beginning of the year about the Dunlop 225/60R17 runflats on my 2004 Toyota Sienna AWD- We got 16,463 miles out of the original set before they were shot, but the local Goodyear dealer plead our case and we got a semi good deal on another set- with no other reasonable options, we bought the 2nd set at the end of January (05). Now November is here, we have put 15,337 miles on the 2nd set, and guess what, the tires are getting noisier by the mile and are almost shot. So... Any suggestions on viable "run flat" replacements for these Dunlops?? Appreciate your help |

| The Bridgestone runflats on my 2005 Lexus sc430 are rough on bumps. Are there any that are smoother? | |

I have the same question as carguy1234... I am also frustrated by the minimal number of options available to replace the stock Bridgestone 235-65-16 tires on my 2003 Saturn VUE AWD 6-cylinder 5-speed automatic. Several tires recommended by sites and Consumer Reports are not available in this size. I really like the Hankook Optimo H418 for example. Can a guy go with a 235-60 or 235-70 x sixteens? |

| Hi Conner - I am shopping for new tires for our 2002 Chevy Suburban 4WD. We do little off-road (some camping). I am interested in the Goodyear Fortera line. What are the main differences between the Fortera Silent Armor and the Fortera TripleTred? Thanks! | |
From reading some of your prior posts, you would probably recommend the Bridgestone LS-H over the G009 because of superior ride comfort. I like the ride of the OEM MXV4's, but the wet traction is terrible. As the LS-H tires are a little out of my price range, would the G009's be ok on this car (205/60/16 91H), is the ride quality much worse? Are there any alternatives you could recommend that would offer quiet ride and good wet/snow traction in the same price range as the G009?

The V rated tires on my '05 Avalon XLS are hard and noisy. What do you think of replacing them with the GY Comfortred 225/55R17 which is H rated? I have checked and the 225's will fit. I have no intention of exceeding 130mph!!! Thanks. |

I have a 99 s-10 extended cab v6 and am looking for a recommendation for tires. I currently am on my second set of Yokohama Avid ST's. Here are the tires I was currently considering: BFG radial TA Dunlop Qualifier T Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 Kumho road venture ST Yokohama Avid ST My opinion of the tires: I like these tires except for the short treadwear and they sound like mud tires on certain pavement and/or steering angles. They also arent that great about hydroplaning. They also have great traction, lots of road feel, and are very predictable and easy to control when the truck starts sliding. The size I am putting on is 225-70-15 Thanks in advance for any advice |

| I have an 01 Lexus ES300, I have my tires narrowed down to 2 choices, Goodyear Assurence TripleTred or the Potenza G009. I live in New England so winter driving is an issue. I would appreciate your input. | |

Hi Connor, My Contour has the 16" SVT Cobra rims and 205/55R16 Dunlop SP Sport A2s that I bought from Tirerack. I am not thrilled with the tread life. It is time to replace them. The fronts especially are worn out. I have somewhat of a lead foot and drive around town a lot. I love the way the car rides and handles on the highway, but only go to Columbus 2-3 times a year. (roughly 344 mi. round trip) I keep the same tires year round until they are worn out. It snows here. I am between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. What do you recommend? I was considering the 2 below. Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S Goodyear Assurance TripleTred I'm sure they aren't in the same league, but I would love the look of the Goodyear NASCARS. Thanks Jim |
