Replying to: uv4me (Nov 07, 2005 6:25 am) If you would like to use an all season tire then i would recommend using the 195/60/14 Bridgestone G009 (61.00 each). They will offer great dry, wet, and snow traction (if needed) as well as quiet comfortable ride quality. connor Tire & Wheel Specialist The Tire Rack 877-522-8473 ext 269 When placing an order online or the phone, please reference Connor at ext 269 |

Hi,Conner. I am trying to find out which tires I should get for my Cayenne 17"wheel. I originally wanted "studded" tires. But,as I searched your website, I could not find any studded tires whithin your recoommended tires for this car. My local Porche dealer only have Pirelli Scorpion " Studless"(exactly which "scorpion" is unknown to me at this point...).I can get some studded tires from my local rather known to this area(Oregon)tire place which sell mainly their own brand(I don't want to advatise anything for them ,so I'll withhold the name of place here)but I'm worried to get something your website doesn't recommend , yet I feel the need of studded tires.... What should I do, please help me. I'm totally lost. |

Hi Connor, any idea why my 03 Highlander would feel like it is "working" much harder now to maintain highway speeds at 65-70mph, and when going uphill at city 35-45mph speeds? This change was immediately noticable after putting the 225-70-16 Cross Terrain's on the car. The old tires were OE Integrity's with 45k miles. I'm concerned that I could be creating unwanted engine and transmission wear. Other than this concern, they drive great! What an improvement in response and traction. I'd also appreciate your opinion on the Michelin Exalto's for an Acura CL-S (215-50-17). Ride comfort, low noise, and good handling are important to me, along with safe traction in rain and very light snow. Thanks for your help here!

Replying to: connortirerack (Nov 07, 2005 3:08 pm) It's time to change tires on our Saturn VUE, and I'm seeing that the choices are limited with the stock P235/65R16 101S M&S type. So I'm wondering if I can go with P215/70R16's? There are a lot more and better choices in that size, especially for winter traction. Can I switch to the 215/70 tires on our 2003 AWD VUE? More simply, in case this was hard to understand: Year: 2003 Make: Saturn Model: VUE Trim package: AWD (so it is an AWD vehicle) Thanks |

I contacted you through this service a few months ago with a request for tires for my 2001 BMW 530 i . Your suggestion for my parameters was the Michelin PS2, I recently had them installed through one of your installers and I want to thank you for your effort. These tires make this bimmer very happy. The tires were not even a thought at the time I wrote so thanks again for all your hard work ,research, knowledge and helpfulness. |

In reference to message number 1288, I had a question. I am shopping for tires for my 2004 Accord EX 4cyl sedan. Stock tires are the Michelin 205-60/16 MXV4's. Hate them. Poor cornering and horrible on wet roads. In the previous post, you say Honda only requres an H rated tire. Where is that published? The owners manual and door jamb sticker in my car both specify 205-60/16's with a V speed rating. I understand that V rated tires might be overkill for this car, but on the other hand, that's what the book calls for, as far as I can tell. I'm considering the Bridgestone G009, LS-V (H?) or BFG Traction T/A. Please let me know what you think. |
