The recommended sizes for your truck in 16" are:

245/75-16 - 30.5" tall - OE stock size
265/75-16 - 31.7" tall
275/70-16 - 31.2" tall

The hardest part about making recommendations for this type of truck is the fact that you have to use a minimum of an E load range which limits your choices. There is also the fact the OE wheels are 16X6.5 which means the largest tires i can recommend to fit the wheels would be the stock size.

Re: Directional or asymmetric tires? [frootloops16] by connortirerack

They are correct to a certain extent. Most people put directional tires on their cars and never perform standard rotation because of the extra cost of dismounting and remounting all four tires. If the rotational procedure is followed correctly the directional tire will last as long as an asymmetrical tire in the same class.

I would recommend dropping down to an H speed rating. Honda only requires this car to have any H speed rating and in my opinion the V speed rating is overkill for this car. For the needs you stated you were looking for i would actually recommend the Bridgestone Turanza LS-H. As to the issue of size, the only two sizes i can recommend for your Accord would be the OE 205/60/16 or the 215/55/16.

205/60R16 Bridgestone Turanza LS-H - 113.00 ea
215/55R16 Bridgestone Turanza LS-H - 121.00 ea

Based on a blind recommendation on the vehicle alone since there are no qualifications listed i would suggest:

2001 Honda Accord LX
195/65/15 Bridgestone G009 - 63.00 ea

2000 Toyota Corolla
175/65/14 Yokohama Avid T4 - 50.00 ea

If you are looking for a summer only tire I would recommend using the 195/60/14 Yokohama AVS ES100 (70.00 each). The will offer very good dry and wet traction and very nice ride quality. However they do tend to get noisier as they wear which can be a problem for a convertible.

If you would like to use an all season tire then i would recommend using the 195/60/14 Bridgestone G009 (61.00 each). They will offer great dry, wet, and snow traction (if needed) as well as quiet comfortable ride quality.

First i would recommend dropping down a size to the 245/75/16 which will fit the factory wheel. A narrower tire will offer less resistance in snow which equates into better control. The tire i would recommend for the best ice and snow traction would be the 245/75/16 Bridgestone Blizzak DMZ3 (108.00 each). They are also the longest wearing snow tire that i carry.

Studded tires on porche Cayenne? by encinoomnia
Nov 07, 2005 (9:28 pm)
Hi,Conner. I am trying to find out which tires I should get for my Cayenne 17"wheel. I originally wanted "studded" tires. But,as I searched your website, I could not find any studded tires whithin your recoommended tires for this car.
My local Porche dealer only have Pirelli Scorpion " Studless"(exactly which "scorpion" is unknown to me at this point...).I can get some studded tires from my local rather known to this area(Oregon)tire place which sell mainly their own brand(I don't want to advatise anything for them ,so I'll withhold the name of place here)but I'm worried to get something your website doesn't recommend , yet I feel the need of studded tires.... What should I do, please help me. I'm totally lost.

Michelin Cross Terrain's on Highlander by rick27513
Nov 08, 2005 (6:13 am)
Hi Connor, any idea why my 03 Highlander would feel like it is "working" much harder now to maintain highway speeds at 65-70mph, and when going uphill at city 35-45mph speeds? This change was immediately noticable after putting the 225-70-16 Cross Terrain's on the car. The old tires were OE Integrity's with 45k miles. I'm concerned that I could be creating unwanted engine and transmission wear. Other than this concern, they drive great! What an improvement in response and traction.

I'd also appreciate your opinion on the Michelin Exalto's for an Acura CL-S (215-50-17). Ride comfort, low noise, and good handling are important to me, along with safe traction in rain and very light snow.

Thanks for your help here!

Thanks Connor. Would you recommend going down further? I plan on getting a set of wheels for the snow tires, just to make things easier. Also noticed at tire rack that a set of steel and alloys (factory takeoff's?) are about the same price. Any advantage to either wheel for snow tires?

Re: AWD Saturn VUE tires [connortirerack] by carguy1234

Wow - you must really be busy and skimming these posts, since all that information was given. Here it is again:

It's time to change tires on our Saturn VUE, and I'm seeing that the choices are limited with the stock P235/65R16 101S M&S type.

So I'm wondering if I can go with P215/70R16's? There are a lot more and better choices in that size, especially for winter traction.

Can I switch to the 215/70 tires on our 2003 AWD VUE?

More simply, in case this was hard to understand:

Year: 2003
Make: Saturn
Model: VUE
Trim package: AWD (so it is an AWD vehicle)

Thanks
