| I don't own a Tundra, but I just don't get the 7/8 scale truck reference. Compare the dimensions to any American half ton and it is no smaller. Is the 7/8 comment referencing horsepower on the larger optional v-8's in the US trucks? Say what you want about Japanese trucks, but double cab tundras are just not smaller anymore. | |
| Let's keep the discussion focused on prices paid and buying experience. | |

| Hello, Im new here. Yesterday I purchased a 2005 reg.cab with tilt, cruise, chrome tool box. bedliner.Sticker was 19,950. I traded my 93 nissan with 182k miles. OTD price after rebate was 14,400.The experience was great at this dealership, Walker-Jones in Waycross. The dealer I dealt with thru carsdirect was HORRIBLE!! They were in Statesboro, Ga. Really wanted a access cab but was out of my budget. Sold my 2000 brake eating Tundra for 10,900 at 111k miles and was glad to let her go.Only complaint is the V6 has a lot of noise compared th the V8. | |
A week ago I purchased a 2005 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double Cab, 4x2, V-8, automatic trans., tow package, 17" alloy wheels, side curtain airbags system, overhead console w/compass & outside temp. gauge and homelink, Capt. chairs, color keyed overfenders, remote keyless entry, limited slip differential, fog lamps, privacy glass, brushed stainless steel running boards, carpet floor mats w/door sill protectors. I bought the truck at Ron Carter Toyota in Alvin, Tx. and had a wonderful buying experience. Everything went easily and there was no hassle or high pressure tactics used. Even the finance manager was nice and direct and no pressure. I highly reccommend this dealership if your in the area. I paid $27,500 drive out.

| My son just purchased last night a 2005 Tundra DC 4x4 V8..MSRP was 33,295; invoice was 30,379. Negotiated to 30,000 then subtract the 1500 cash rebate. Resulting in 28,500. Then add back sales tax, title, registration etc. He arrived there about 4:00 pm and was driving it home at 7:00. He was by himself but he did make a couple calls to me during visit for guidance/support. He lives and purchased in Washington DC area.. Told me overall was easy/friendly and they made him feel as though they respected him as a customer!! | |

| Steve, the Tundra Double Cab that I bought was the only one that they had on the lot at the time, but it's a big dealership and they're constantly getting more. I wouldn't think that it would be difficult to find one with the side curtain air bags. There web address is www.roncarter.com and I was treated very nicely. I highly reccommend them. Good Luck. | |
