#36 of 838 Price Paid for Tundra Access Cab SR5 V6 Auto
Feb 27, 2005 (3:43 pm)
I bought a 2005 Tundra Access Cab SR5 V6 5Sp Auto with Captains Chairs, Color Keyed Overfenders, Styled Steel Wheels,Value Truck Package, from Riverside Toyota in Tulsa. I saw an advertised price of 20,999. I took in a copy of Carson Toyota's web page showing basically the same truck for 20,499. Told them if they would give me that price and the $500 owner loyalty discount I would buy it. No arguments, got the truck for 19999. Took all of 15 minutes. I really recommend this dealership. Another Toyota dealership in Tulsa would not even deal with me. Said they would be 24-26k (MSRP) They even had a 2004 Tacoma ext. cab prerunner that they wanted 22k for. Made the Tundra a no brainer.

I just got a 2005 TRD Double cab 4X4. The local delears were wanting 33000 to 34000. Plus they didn't have the color I wanted so they wanted 1000 extra to ship their truck and traid it for the one I wanted. They also said they wanted to keep the 1500 rebate. I told them to stick it. I got a broker to find me the truck. He found the truck and delivered it for 29995.

Emt27 thanks for the quick response. I see things have changed at the link you provided. I'll keep an eye on it. I was looking at the new Tacoma but have decided it's too early for me to consider it seriously. I've decided to seek a Tundra as I need a new truck this year. At 0% interest and with tips like yours I should be able to get a sweet deal! I'll, as they say, "keep you posted".

Just curious why you would be paying so much for a 7/8 scale truck?
To hear that Toyota sells a pickup for $39K is extremely absurd!

I don't own a Tundra, but I just don't get the 7/8 scale truck reference. Compare the dimensions to any American half ton and it is no smaller. Is the 7/8 comment referencing horsepower on the larger optional v-8's in the US trucks? Say what you want about Japanese trucks, but double cab tundras are just not smaller anymore.

#45 of 838 Just purchased a 2005 reg. cab max
Mar 12, 2005 (6:11 pm)
Hello, Im new here. Yesterday I purchased a 2005 reg.cab with tilt, cruise, chrome tool box. bedliner.Sticker was 19,950. I traded my 93 nissan with 182k miles. OTD price after rebate was 14,400.The experience was great at this dealership, Walker-Jones in Waycross. The dealer I dealt with thru carsdirect was HORRIBLE!! They were in Statesboro, Ga. Really wanted a access cab but was out of my budget. Sold my 2000 brake eating Tundra for 10,900 at 111k miles and was glad to let her go.Only complaint is the V6 has a lot of noise compared th the V8.
