Too bad they only sold like 1,500 US Fits for the whole of September

But in regards to September sales.... the increase in Canada alone made up for the 4% drop in the US. (45% increase in Sept sales from 2005)

#7704 of 7711 the latest SVI by nippononly

survey is out, and it appears Honda owners are more pleased with their purchases than any other brand in the industry:

Better yet, there are very few mentions of either Toyota or Nissan in there (and none of DCX or Ford, but that's another story! ).

The bad news: the Koreans are all over the place in there, infiltrating at an alarming rate!

Make that an 84 Prelude as first Honda. Have had a total of 7 Hondas/Acuras. Will probably be 8th after test driving an 07 TL. But, still like Nissan V6 engine vehicles and will try to hang onto one of these in stable.

Of course Honda is all over that list. Despite Toyota's "reputation". Hondas blow them away. Honda makes the most reliable cars and and they aren't a vanilla ride like most Toyotas.

The most underrated Honda feature is the manual transmission. It is bulletproof. I've had two and various family members have all had the manual tranny. Never a problem and they run well over 200K, without ever having to change the clutch.

Unfortunately, a manual tranny isn't an option for most people.

Honda's run run out? Will never happen. The quality of their cars is too good.

i see buyers of entry level hondas maybe moving up to an accord, but then moving on to other brands after that.

Just look at the other responses...they're buying Acuras. Plural.

#7708 of 7711 First car by varmint

Oct 12, 2006 (2:28 pm)

The first car I bought myself (not a hand-me-down from the family) was a Chevy. Then I got a Mazda. Prior to those I had driven a fairly wide variety of cars. It wasn't until I bought my first Honda that I got serious about a brand. Since my 1999 CR-V, I've bought a 2001 TL and a 2004 MDX.

I had hoped to down-size back to a CR-V or RDX in a few years. However, the RDX is a bit small in cargo capacity and offers far more sport than I need. And the CR-V is just plain ugly. That said, Honda is where I'll start when it comes to buy.
