Hopefully time that would've been spent on developing a MORE powerful engine would have been used on improving all other aspects of the car.

like the Volta? And Lexus is going to have a flasgship above the LS. The Crown Majesta looks like it got its cues from the maybach...

True supras used an inline 6 with turbo (twin turbo =)), and this has been since the MkII.... so to call a car with a V-10 engine, and a car that is a Lexus, would be BLASPHEMY to me :p. There may be a chance that this car COULD be a hardtop SC, like the ones during the Supra era... or maybe Lexus will make a new model line... anyways, about the LF-C, I think that it wont come out the way it is now, there will be a bunch of tweaks before they release it, as said by wale_bate1, it is probably just a sign of things to come.

Here I go LF-C is 911 size with a much larger wheelbase. It is F-1 influenced, so the engine will be determined by F-1 rules (currently V-10 but V-8 may change) Hybrid is also a possiblity It is not related to any Lexus or Supra. It is a new platform.
