I had to look on the Nissan website to see this. They call it 'Carribean', and some designer probably thought it was 'ocean-inspired'.

Talk about making a salesperson's job even harder...

Saw my first FR-S on the road today, or was it a Subaru Breeze, I don't know

Limiting supply was a brilliant move by Subaru.

WRX sales were up 159% for May. Keep in mind how old that model is - it debuted in 2007!

People come to see one, none in stock, fine I'll buy a WRX instead.

Numbers are slightly skewed by the tsunami, but they were still way ahead of 2010.

The old bait-and-switch.

If that was the plan, it is indeed brilliant. Maybe some good deals to be found on a WRX, too.

Personally, I wouldn't play along with any artificial supply restrictions...we all know what eventually happens. I remember PT Cruisers initially bringing 25K+, in year 2000 dollars.

I'm reading 10k Scions and 6k Subaru. Supply will be short for a year or two.

Around here dealers are getting MSRP, so no markups, but there is a wait list.

I'd predict MSRP for at least the first year, if not more. It's not an expensive car, and there isn't much competition.

There isn't. A lot of people don't want a roadster (Miata), and the Genny coupe is gigantic sitting next to one (edit: and 700 lbs heavier, yikes).

R&T compared the 3:

They're right about the Miata having too much body roll (even with the Bilsteins and torsen LSD package), but getting the GT misses the point. It's not about having leather and Bose audio...

I'd probably take the Breeze over those two. Miata is too small for me, and just when I had accepted the Genesis looks, they weirded up the front end.

Too bad you can't get the old look with the new output.

It's too heavy for a 2+2, IMHO. Needs a diet and a better shifter.
