Saw one sitting at a dealership a couple of weeks back, but today was the first "in the wild." It was badged as a ZipCar.

I've seen a few, maybe half dozen or so.

So not uncommon but not nearly as prevalent as the Prius is around here.

My mom got one as a loaner when her Civic was in an accident.

Neat lil car. She fell in love with it though. The pricing is decent too. Insights and Priuses are not just for techno geeks or environmentalists anymore.

Oh yeah, when I was having the bumper scratch damage estimated, there were 2 brand new S6s at the shop, waiting to have some light cosmetic shipping damage touched up. One would never know what they were without the badging.

I prefer the CR-Z.

With two seats and less weight, it could actually be fun.

Today I saw Camaro x2, Genesis x2, and a loaded new E350 driven by a man who looked old enough to have been middle aged when my fintail was new. I say this because I was driving the fintail, and I pulled up beside him at a gas station. He looked at me like I was stepping out of a spaceship ....it was cool to see 50 years of progress next to each other.

That's funny. And here he thought he'd be youthful by buying a new E class, and then he sees a youth driving something that's almost half a century old.

Well, new may be youthful, but I doubt the median age for an E class owner is any lower than 50 plus.

Of course to someone that old, 50 may seem "youthful".

I'm no youth anymore lol ...but yeah, this guy was probably in his late 70s at the youngest. Although I have to say, if I am that old and driving that car, I'd be pretty happy.

His wife did look a good 20 years younger...but it was probably his daughter
