My dealer wants to charge $550 for Sirius and $80 for the Aux adapter. I'm think that is about double what I should be paying. Anyone have any experiences with these items? I will be picking up on Wednesday or Thursday and want to have some ammunition to bargain with. Thanks! |

Replying to: hello29 (Mar 28, 2005 2:37 pm) Invoice on 2.5 with Auto, Metallic Paint and ZPP is $33,455. Invoice on 2.5 with individual options is $33,070 Don't know your tax rate, but it looks like ~6.5%. Assuming title is minimal (~$100) 33,070+100+tax = 35,225 so it looks like you are under invoice. Probably a good deal, but I would trust kdyfx |

Replying to: hsbndhatesbmw (Mar 30, 2005 4:39 pm) 2) You could live with the $1700 discount if they were using the base rate money factors, but they aren't. 3) Base rate is .0010 With the security deposit waiver, the rate is .00115 They are bumping the rate the maximum .0004, resulting in your money factor of .00155 4) Something tells me that you asked them to hit that $550/mo. number and they structured the deal to do just that. Your deal would be okay if they would use the base rates.. I would also make a security deposit, instead of waiving it... you will come out $300-$350 better in the long run.. With the deal structured as you have it now, the payment is $510+tax .. I assume that tax makes up the difference between the $510 and $550. If you can get them to use the base rate of .0010 and make a security deposit, your payment would drop to $512/mo. including tax.. Your drive off would rise by the $550 security deposit, making your drive-off $1423.74, but you would get the $550 back at the end of the lease. That would be a decent lease deal... regards, kyfdx |

kyfdx, Would you please look at message #640 and let me know??? I am still worried about what I did!!!! P.S. I do love driving it. I drove it off with 3 miles on it - now 303 with a road trip to KC for a soccer tournament this weekend. Can't wait!

Replying to: bmwfan4 (Mar 31, 2005 7:06 pm) You already know about the $200 extra on the acq. fee.... A security deposit waiver adds .00015 to the money factor, so you are really close to the base rate.. If you got the waiver for some other reason (returning lessee?), then the bump is a full .0002 At best, you could have saved the $200 plus $14/mo. X 24 months... However, your selling price was very low.. In the end, your total cash outlay is all that matters... $560/mo. for a 24 month lease, with nothing else out of pocket is extremely cheap for a $41K car.. I didn't see it... 15K/year mileage, right? regards, kyfdx |
