I have a deal with BMW Manhattan dealer to purchase back my X3
after the lease.
 
2006 X3 30,000 Miles White leather + heated seats
Residual 25,700
 
BMW will convert it into CPO and sell it back to me for $22,000
 
I need to return the car after the lease - can't wait for new X3 or Q5 or Volvo ( was thinking about GLK though... ) - there is not much else on the market I would be interested in and current lease terms are not that good.
 
Good deal?

You are specific enough. Does the $22k included taxes, etc?
 
Do you only have leather and heated seats, or a package?
 
I'd say $22k is high if it doesn't include taxes. Here in San Diego, you can get a base X3 from a dealer at around $17-$18k.
 
Then around $16k from private party. There are tons of used x3 models on the lots around here. The 2006 models are coming...

The final deal is $23,500 with 0.9 financing.
 
Still not bad I think but much worse than 22K ( Dealer said that made a mistake with previous quote)

Are you treferring to CPO ( certified pre-owned) - they explain it costs them 2K to certify...
Anyway - as you saw my email they said it was a mistake and it is 23,500 for CPO not including taxes... ( but they give 0.9% financing)

Well, it sounds like you have a base model w/o sport or premium. As someone who is currently looking at the X3 models, I'd say that deal is a little high. You can do better.
 
In San Diego where I am, there is over 100 used X3s to choose from within a 50 mile radius. That favors the buyer. Not sure where your location is, but something to factor.
 
To give you can idea, I'm shopping between a couple of X7 models and negotiations are right around $24k. They have sport, premium, xenon, and bluetooth.
 
Again, I'd keep shopping if I were you unless you love your car and like the convenience of buying it outright.

Just took delivery tonight. Price was $28275 + tax w/ CPO. In service date was 2/11/07. Your thoughts?

I'm with you on PDC. HATE it. Looks like a bunch of nipples all around the car. But, we wanted a loaded car so we had to make adjustments.
 
Silver Gray Metallic / Gray leather with the dark wood trim. Looks sharp. My wife and I will be sharing since I sometimes need a bigger car for work related trips.
 
They had a black on black that looked really sharp, but no options other than sport and xenon.
 
Next is to find me a loaded 2006 330ci with a MANUAL transmission. They are few and far between.

We have Black Sapphire with gray leather and the gray poplar... The gray wood looks great with the gray leather..
 
I wish I could find a way to turn the PDC off, but no luck... It is useful for parallel parking, but that is about a once per week occurrence... Would have much rather had the Sport Activity pkg, or the full cold WX pkg, than that... but, it's hard to be choosy when buying used..
 
Concentrate on Performance Pkg 330Ci... most of them are manual, I think..

Agreed. Very hard to be choosy when buying a used car. In the end though, we're quite happy and fortunate.
 
I'm scouring the ads daily for a 330ci. There just aren't many to go around. Thanks for the tip.
