I'm looking at a new 2008 X3 - basic car, no premium package and no extras. Dealer quotes me $40,325. I have a 2004 X3 2.5 with 67,000 miles on it and he's telling me that with my trade, I'll have to pay $29,000 for the new one. Feedback please. How much better can I do?

I guess if $29K included taxes and everything else, it wouldn't be too bad... 0.9% for 60 months included in that deal?

Just bought a 2009 X3 minimally equipped at $37,800 against an MSRP of $41K and change. The vinyl is quite nice as is the rest of the car. Excellent ride and handling. |

Replying to: daleb2 (Feb 08, 2009 2:47 pm) The GLK is a very nice car and a lot cheaper, though Mercedes doesn't have any special financing right now (not a consideration on a cash deal). Since you are paying cash and the price difference is as much as $5K, for a car with newer design and technology, it may be the way to go. We financed ours and BMW's 3.9 APR promotion was a factor in choosing X3 over GLK. GLK rides a bit softer and isn't as sporty as X3, but is more comfortable on rough surfaces. |

I have a deal with BMW Manhattan dealer to purchase back my X3 after the lease. 2006 X3 30,000 Miles White leather + heated seats Residual 25,700 BMW will convert it into CPO and sell it back to me for $22,000 I need to return the car after the lease - can't wait for new X3 or Q5 or Volvo ( was thinking about GLK though... ) - there is not much else on the market I would be interested in and current lease terms are not that good. Good deal? Michael
