I would hate it if they give the Tundra these great new engines and keep them away from the Tacoma. However, when you consider the new larger Tacoma will probably overlap with the not quite full sized Tundra, I could see Toyota being worried that the Tacoma would steal sales from the Tundra. So maybe once they come out with the new and bigger Tundra they will put the new VVT direct injection V6 and maybe even the new V8 in the Tacoma.

Replying to: atlgaxt (Aug 19, 2004 1:43 pm) I'm still hoping Toyota will surpise us (and those that have early information). They could put a V6 with GDI or even a V8 in the Tacoma DC and not have overlap. Toyota needs to realize that they are going to hurt sales of the Tacoma in order to protect sales of the Tundra. They just need to accept the decrease in Tundra sales until the remodel. |

I see there is a power outlet in the rear bed of the '05 X-Runner. Does anybody know if this is a 12v outlet or a 120v outlet? Bob |
