#3676 of 7624 Toyota recall on non-05 models
May 18, 2005 (2:07 pm)
I just heard that there is a recall going on from Toyota involving vehicles that have problems with their front suspension. Affected models include 2001-2004 Tacoma, 2001-2002 4-Runner, 2002-2004 Tundra and 2002-2004 Sequoia. Didn't hear anything about the new Tacos.
Does anyone know of a site where these recall notices are posted? I searched Toyota's websites but found none. Further Googling might do.
KC would you know if Edmunds has compiled one? Thanks!

I also got my Bull Bar and Steps off of Ebay, but I e-mailed the seller directly and got a better deal buying it "under the Ebay table". I got a way better deal than any parts website or magazine. I love Ebay.
I really like the black Bull Bar on my black Tacoma. I posted pics in the "Tacoma Pictures" forum.

Hi there folks. I've been reading here for a couple of months but this is my first post. I have a silver 6 speed 4x4 4dr on order, with side curtain airbags (I've got 2 little ones) and a JBL stereo....but ran into a problem. The dealer screwed up on the stereo and ordered the $200 6-cd changer stereo instead.
My options are to 1) take this one and upgrade the stereo myself or 2) wait for the next allocation and hope they get it right this time.
I'm not interested in volume just sound quality. If I take the $300 difference and spend it on speakers won't I get what I'm after?
Anyone out there who can advise on the quality of the $200 upgrade stereo speakers?

I found a great deal on the Toyota Tube steps on this website. I then brought the price to my dealer and the reluctantly matched it. The steps look great and match the silver color on my Tacoma perftectly.
Has anybody mounted a bed extender themselves? I never got a reply on my earlier post

That's interesting about the tube steps. I had a dealer quote me that exact price for the DC tube steps. He was pretty willing to give a deal on anything that day. I wonder if that is the "magic price" or something.
As for the bed extender, I haven't actually seen one, but I'm pretty sure the '05s mount to the bed rails - so it should be about as easy as mounting the tie-downs.

Thanks for the info. Once someone hears any info about the 2006 Tacoma, pricing any changes, new features, fixes etc. please post them. I've pretty much decided to wait for the 06 now.

I ordered mine 3 weeks ago. Now after reading about all those paint chip problems I almost wish I did not.
#3685 of 7624 Floor Mats and Liners

I am looking to pick up a set of mats/liners for my access cab. I saw the pictures posted with the Xtreme liners from Catch-All. Has anyone had first hand experience with either these of the Husky liners? I am betweeen the 2 and want to get the best coverage and looks while being easy to clean.
