| I just got back from Wellesley VW after checking out the SE and SEL (automatic transmission and no other options). I'm leaning toward the SE. I am hoping people can send me what price they paid (without sales tax)??? Please specify price, fees and where you purchased or where you received the quote. Thanks for your help! | |

Replying to: jonboston (Mar 28, 2009 9:53 am) I am looking for a pretty stock SE automatic because the SE has so many great features: leatherette, heated seats, moonroof, 6-disk changer, etc. |

Replying to: jonboston (Mar 27, 2009 4:58 pm) selling price: $21,167 tax: $1058 title®: $86 doc: $263 cash to customer: -$1000 I really want SEL, but like others say, it is expensive compared to other cars with the same size. I think I would need to negotiate a little further. How was Wellesley VW? Were they willing to work with you on the price? Thanks!

Replying to: carbuyer81 (Mar 28, 2009 3:23 pm) Minuteman VW (Bedford, MA) - $18,995 (if using VW financing) + reg, doc, tax. Boston VW - $18,995 w/o VW financing or $17,995 w/VW financing + reg, doc tax. Wellesley VW - $19,826 (although I think the MSRP is $22,094 on this as opposed to the other ones at $21,195) + reg, doc, tax. These were all preliminary offers with no real negotiation. I'm assuming I can do slightly better. Any thoughts??? I am waiting to hear back from all 3 of them to see if there is more wiggle room. Will keep you updated. If anyone has a better deal, please let me know. Also, does anyone know how much money you would need to finance through VW to qualify? I really don't need to do it, but if I'm getting an extra $1,000 off the price, it may be worth it. I'm wondering if I could finance like $500-$1,000 of it only if I would still qualify for it and get the reduced price. Anyone have any experience with this??? Thanks. -Jon |

Replying to: muk9 (Mar 27, 2009 5:36 pm) the VW sweepstakes, decided to go for the Honda line, much better and more reliable car and I like the styling a whole lot better. I purchased (today) an 09 Accord EX with sunroof and all the goodies out the door and on the road for $20,000 which is a damn good deal! It is real sharp and runs like a dream. thanks, Buckeyewayne
