Picked my Wolfsburg up for the same pen.    Awesome car........and I thought all they had was the so-so 5 banger or demo GLI that I drove the day earlier. Salesman told me he sold the SE-SEL?    "Got a few in, theyre back there"......4 Wolfs.....picked the one I wanted, wow, what a great car. And less than the 5 banger I drove!! I just bought one 2 weeks ago, 6 spd manual, spoiler negotiated $21,530 including all dealer fees and DMV, not including tax. I then qualified for $1,000 owner loyalty credit so final sale price $20,530, which I was very pleased about.   Old Country VW in Greenwich, CT.

Does anybody know if the $1,000 Loyalty Credit is still available on the Jetta? If I am not wrong, the Loyalty Credit expired on Dec 1st, 2008. Does anyone know if the incentive is still available for the month of December?   Thanks a lot!   SN

Tested a new Jetta and love the handling. But did anyone else notice that the center console is right on your leg when you have your foot on the gas? Don't know if I could handle this for long distances. Also, has anyone cross shopped the new Mazda 6i against the Jetta? How would you compare the handling? Thank you. Replying to: ral2167 (Dec 13, 2008 12:25 pm) that's interesting, i've never considered right knee room and I haven't really noticed any difference in that regard going from an '06 Avalon to an '09 Jetta, but it's still new to me so perhaps i will in the future. The only thing I have trouble with is the tiny center storage area.   As for the Mazda 6i I never test drove it but sat in it during an auto show and I hated the interior it felt a bit cheap to me and definitely uncomfortable.

Thanks for answering my previous question. One more item: With taxes included, the S is about $2,700 less than the SE. The car would be a daily driver to work with one or two 1,200 mile round trips to visit family every year. I don't need the sunroof as it cuts down on headroom and things like ipod, satellite radio are of little or no value to me (sorry for being a Luddite!).   Baed on the above, is there any reason to get the SE? Are S versions as easy to find? Thanks again.

Traded a midsize car in on my Wolf and actually find it easier to get in and out of, they wanted you to know you were driving a bigger car. And it couldnt turn as sharply as my VW.    As for legroom, I'm 6'....no problems here.

Inquired through the internet and got another price of 16,750. Called the first dealer and got 16,500, DONE DEAL! 15,000 seems a bit low, given what I've read, but good luck. It seems to be a buyer's market. BTW, Love the car!!!
