If you buy the 09 you can take the money you would normally pay for maint and purchase an extended warranty. I know it wouldn't cover all the cost of it but based on everything I've read on these forums and my nephew who is a VW tech, it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy an extended warranty on an 08 as well.

Yes it was around 21000 before TTL

They told me invoice was 22000 and u might not to know that 2009 came in the dealership when I got there I saw couple Jetta Wolfsburg 2009 there and there's couple changing thing were warranty (it forced to me to purchase 08 instead of 09) 3 yrs 36000miles (including no cost maintain schedules) and windows chrom molding( Im wondering if I can install it after market or in dealership)
and another reason why I bought 08 is zero% financing on 36month it is going to save several thousands

my advice is u should send a lot of e-mails to near ur dealer at least 5 and then wait them what they r sayin then make an offer like( hey here's what I got so far one of them(need specific dealer name and saleman would be helpful) offer me 21000+ TTL it doesnt have to me true in my opinion they are selling 2008 stock product not the 09 product so below invoice will be possible like me

dont forget to get 0% financing it's worth than 2000$ it depends on ur down though
and I checked the a lot of dealer almost dealer were out of stock wolfsburg edition due to 12500 production in USA

Im more than happe with car (im ex A4 owner 2.0t) u will lke 2.0t with DSG
DSG is just outstanding compare with just automatic transmission

I think that's good idea because long enough extended warranty was less than 1000$ I believe I gotta spend almost 1000$ for maintain schedules

but I couldnt get rid of 0% financing and 1000$ below invoice price
and I basically change the car in 2 years so I dont need that much long warranty

Been looking at an 08 wolfsburg.

I was just quoted a price of 22,000 which is a little more than 100 under invoice.

The details are below.

----------------------------------------
2008 Jetta automatic
Wolfsburg edition
Reflex Silver on anthracite (black) interior
Wolfsburg Wing Spoiler
(and a full tank of gas!)

MSRP $22,950
Invoice $22,113
Our August offer price $22,000.
We are also running a $300 gas card promotion this month on all cars delivered by August 31st.
-------------------------------

Does I'm not getting anybody to beat this (NY long island). Should i be pushing for more than this?

Thanks!

Most dealers around here have a decent selection of 08 jettas still.
a few of them have 7 or more wolfsburg models.

VW Buying Experience? Aweful!!! by schloed7

Having not purchased a vehicle from a dealership for many, many years, I got quite a shock when we recently shopped around to get on "the list" for a new '09 Jetta TDI.
It is amazing how the dealerships in Phoenix and suburbs stay in business with how dishonest they are.........
Between promising us that their policy is to not mark up over MSRP(even though they do), or telling us that the "Loyal" package does not exist, or promising early delivery dates if we buy from them, or Berge VW in Gilbert pricing $3-4k over MSRP with something called Loan Value pricing, it was rediculous.
VW America really needs to step in and do some policing of their reputation that is being compromised by their dishonest dealers.

Since the advent of the internet these dudes have been abused by the public. No more can they four square someone into a ripoff as everyone is armed with invoice prices and availability. Though some dealers have still tried. I had one BMW dealer, Wide World of Cars, tell me that all its cars sell for MSRP. I simply went to the next dealer and bought for a little over invoice.

Then when a vehicle comes our where the demand actually exceeds supply they lick their chops like wolves near a crippled deer and pack on as much excess as the market will allow consciences be damned.

Let these cars sit in their lots, and let these mongrel scavengers choke on the excess.

Do you mean kind of like the way buyers lick their chops like wolves near a crippled deer when dealers are really hurting and have to sell their inventory for next to nothing. I don't like dealers who go above MSRP either but the biz does work both ways. You would try to get as much for your trade as possible.....whatever you can get the dealer to give you.....why shouldn't they do the same?

If you had a trade that was suddenly in high demand should you be called a bloodsucker because you want more for it than before?
