Do you guys think I could get a new base model jetta automatic (no options) under 19K OTD?? I'm in California I will be trading in my 2004 Ford Expedition (xls - just the base model).. I'm hoping to get around 13K on it do you think that is a little wishful?

| Is $17000 OTD a good price for an 07 Jetta base model with no options and a manual? I think it's about $15500 for only the car. Could I get it any cheaper? | |

Hi all, I'm new to, well, car buying, and posting about car buying. I'm debating between an end-of-lease purchase for my 2204 Jetta for around 10k or buying a 2007 Subaru Forester for around 21k. My main concern is safety, it rains a ton where I'm going and I want to make sure I have the safest car. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! seana g. Los angeles, CA |

| I paid 21K out the door, everything included, EVERYTHING! Did I make a good deal? | |

| will be putting down about 8k as a down payment, now comes financing, im sure my monthly intrest rate will be a good deal,(thnks to moms credit)but ill have to add collision where ill do all the work myself where i dont wanna add it,but insurance will be about 2200 for either car with 25$ collision where without it will be about 1200 every 6 months, im thinking about going to a bank and doing a loan from them, and hopefully they wont make me add collision , anyone have any tips on how to overcome that? | |
| At the dealer I was told the only difference between the "Wolfsberg" and the "Sport Edition" is the chrome strip around the windows, however I also figured out the sport has 17" wheels as apposed to 16" on the Wolfsberg. I am looking at $22,500 OTD, including tax, license.. The only extra is the rear spoiler. I have looked everywhere on the internet and can't find anything about pricing for the "Sport". Please let me know if this is a good deal. I live by Sacramento, CA, tax rate 7.5%. Thank. | |

I have the package 1 with leatherette seats, 16" alloy wheels, dual climate control, sunroof, etc. It is in perfect condition with only 14K miles for $17,300. It bluebooks for about $5,000 more than that, so I feel pretty good about the purchase. And I am loving my "new" car!! |
