| I just bought a 2007 Jetta (base, manual) for $17,500. What a deal! For $1000 less than the 2.5 model, you lose only floor mats and the 16" wheels. I know they do this for a low price point, so it's a deal like the $15000 Rabbit 2 dr. Very happy with the car and the deal. | |

I received a price quote of 18350 for a 07 jetta automatic base model with esp. Any thoughts is this a good deal? Thanks |

I got a quote for a 2007 VW JETTA 2.5L automatic with cold weather package and sunroof for $19,073 plus tax and license in California. However, after reading about problems people have been having with Jettas, I'm looking into other cars.

I was looking at a 2006 Jetta with package #1 that is a demo wtih 5500 miles on it. The dealer quoted it at $23,595. Is this a reasonable amount? Any suggestions on how to get a lower price

Replying to: nobie (Nov 30, 2006 7:38 pm) I love the interior, the engine, the DSG, and the 18" wheels. The exterior I am still unsure of, love the front end, but working back it doesn't seem to carry the theme out. Two things that really irk me, is the Sirius only sat option, why not give customers the choice, it's a plug in module in the truck that could easily be switched at the dealer in 10 minutes. The other is lack of power seats in the GLI. They are offered in the standard Jetta, why not the sport model? Overall I love the car, hope the reliability is not an issue. I traded a 2002 BMW 330i with 70,000 miles, and I had a lot of problems with it ($1700 for an AC evaporator, $750 for an alternator, and $450 for an AC high/low pressure line, all in one month). |
