Turn signal problem for a 2002 Chevy Malibu by javidogg
May 15, 2006 (10:07 am)
Hello, it's been a while since posted here at Edmunds. My 02 Malibu had this problem come up a couple of weeks ago, I received this letter from the dealer where I bought the Malibu from, stating that there might be a problem with the Malibu, that it was a not a recall of some sort, but that they would repair it, if it failed with the next ten years at no cost.

That sound it weird to me, but anyway, days later ny turn signals stopped working (left & right), so today at 8:00am took in my Malibu to the dealer with letter on hand, dropped of the Malibu. I then received a phone call at 11:45am that they found the Turn Signal Flasher to be bad and a Lower Intake Cooler leak, all covered under warranty, or else it would of been a $900.00 dollar repair bill.

So will see how it goes.

More on the steering column by maxx4me

I'm on the eve of taking my Maxx into the service manager for him/her to experience some of my quirks. My front suspension noises happen when the car is warmed up. When I first start the car and drive over some potholes, I don't experience the "jiggling" noise up front; nor do I get any squeeking. However, after 10-15 minutes of driving, the squeeking noises begin, and the suspension begins to jiggle when driving over man hole covers, or when entering a driveway threashold. I still am crossing my fingers that the good folks at GM engineering will come up with a solution. I surely don't want to replace a part with the same OEM part since Kurt and others have reported the same issues after only a short amount of time. Ok, thanks for the shoulder.
