I don't know if this is hogwash or not, but for what it's worth this is what I recently stumbled across:

***********
2005 Honda CR-V

Improved exterior styling: redesigned lamps, front bumper, headlight, side still, and front grille
ABS, VSA and S-SRS standard on all trim levels
Standard five speed automatic transmission
16” wheel for all trim levels plus new EX alloy wheel design and LX steel wheel design
New Arch flare with one-piece mud guard
Larger seatback pockets and improved ivory interior color
New retractable grab rail
New integrated keyless remote entry
Steering wheel mounted audio controls and outside temperature gauge added to EX trim level
New Cam-driven Real Time™ 4WD mechanism on all models (replaces hydraulic pump-type system)
New Special Edition trim level that includes heated leather seats and door mirrors, leather steering wheel and shift knob, body-colored bumpers, side molding, door handles and hard spare tire cover
Three new colors exterior – Silver Moss, Redondo Red Pearl, Sahara Sand
Exclusive SE trim exterior color – Pewter Pearl

Are these side curtain airbags or the side (torso-level) airbags as currently available on the 04 EX?

It will have both. The side torso style bags will remain. They are adding curtain-style bags, as well. Like the system used in some Ford SUVs, these will stay inflated to protect occupants in the event of a rollover.

It needs still bigger wheels/tires.

The rims ARE bigger. Makes the tires larger and they'll rub the fenders.

Does anyone know:

1. When will the CR-V SE will be available?

2. Will all CR-Vs have more hp and torque? It's a little on the weak side right now.

3. Will mpg be higher? It's a little right now. I noticed the new 4WD system--will that improve mpg a lot?

4. How much $$$ for the SE?

5. Will the SE be available in any other colors?

6. Will I be able to get tan/off-white leather instead of the black in those pictures?

7. Does anyone know if the new CR-Vs have HID lights?
