Long Bed option on 07 Frontier.

2007 Nissan Frontier King Cab and Frontier Crew Cab

The 2007 Frontier includes a number of features shared with the Nissan Titan, including its rugged suspension design, innovative factory-applied spray-on bedliner, Utili-track bed channel tie-down system and fully boxed, all-steel frame based on the Titan’s F-Alpha platform.

Highlighting the 2007 Frontier is the availability of the Long Bed Crew Cab SE and LE models, with a bed measuring more than 13 inches longer than the standard Frontier Crew Cab.

The SE, LE, and NISMO models are powered by a 4.0-liter V6, producing 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft torque. The advanced powerplant includes a Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS), Nissan variable Induction Control System (NICS), silent timing chain, microfinished camshaft and crankshaft surfaces, Teflon®-coated pistons, resin intake manifold, forged crankshaft, digital knock control system, high capacity muffler, lightweight aluminum block and cylinder heads and 105,000-mile spark plugs.
The Frontier King Cab XE base model comes standard with a 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine with 152 horsepower and 171 lb-ft torque.

Features of the 2007 Frontier include:
· Addition of Crew Cab SE and LE Long Bed models, featuring a bed more than 13 inches longer than Frontier Crew Cab’s traditional bed
· King Cab XE Appearance Package, which includes a chrome front bumper and 16-inch steel wheel and tires
· Value Truck Package, available for SE models, includes Active Brake Limited Slip, floor mats, Power Package and more (Crew Cab VTP includes bed extender, King Cab VTP) includes bedliner)
· MP3 capable audio input jack
· Front passenger seatbelt warning/reminder light
· SE, LE, and NISMO models improve California Emissions Certificate to LEV2 ULEV

It is probably the new rating system. If that is the case, losing 4hp is not bad, as some of the toyotas lost a whole lot more.

On another and more irritating note, am I to assume that the NISMO will not come with a long bed?

I also did not see any information that you can get an SE with stability control. If that is true, I would be forced to buy an LE to get a Long Bed with stability control.

Of course, then if I wanted side airbags on the LE, I cannot get stability control.

So if I want stability control, a sunroof and side airbags, I have to get a NISMO. In which case I will not be able to get a long bed, I will have a stupid subwoofer in the floor screwing up the interior loading floor, and I will have to get a depressing dark grey or blue interior.

GRRRRRRR!!!!!!

I really want a Frontier, but Nissan apparently does not want to sell me one!!!

Just out of curiosity, have you (or anyone else) tracked the miles you get per tank? I was able to go 405 miles on 1 tank -o- gas which is just about 19 gallons, so 21 for me as well.

It seems that all manufactuers have strange limits and exceptions on options. I wanted side airbags on my SE CC, but had to get the sunroof to get the side airbags! The sunroof takes up too much ceiling pace for my height, so I had to omit the side airbags. Sheeesh.

I bless Nissan tho for making a mid-size 4x2 CC truck with a 6-Speed stick -- no other manufacturer offers that. (With Toyota, ya have to get the 4x4.) Any option tradeoffs were worth it to me to get that combination.

The best I've gotton yet is 22.7 MPG Hwy. with my '06 SE CC 4x2 6-Speed. Most of my tanks average 21-1/2 to 22 MPG. Getting anything over EPA estimates (21 MPG in our case) is pretty impressive in my book.

Asa: I have the same truck as you, except its an 05, and I reported on one road trip from Central CA to the Bay Area 25/26 mpg, my advice is leave it in cruise control at about 70-75, because strangley I found that driving closer to 65 and slower gets me LESS mileage, maybe because of low manifold pressure?

Oil pressure problem by allnissans

Just dropped my 2005 LE 4x4 off at the dealer to stay a while.Had it serviced a week ago and three days ago the oil pressure gauge started to peg when revving the engine starting off. I took it in today and they changed oil and filter again, but it didn't help. The service mgr said they were going to call Nissan Monday to see if is an oil pump problem. Not sure if I have a lot of faith in these guys if they can't figure that out on their own. Is there a known issue? Thought this engine was bulletproof. Watched the service writer and the mechanic stand under the truck scratching their heads, not a good sign. It's a V6 with 6350 miles on it. Let me know any info you have. I'll keep posted. OBTW, love my truck, we also have a 2005 X with same engine and my wife loves it! My son has a 2005 X off road and that's right, he loves it!!
