Just have the Guy at the wayne place fax you a copy of the deal, so there will be no "miss understandings".

Just my opinion, don't compromise on the color of you car. You will be kicking yourself down the road, I did once and I will never do that again.

i made a deal with a dealership on a 3i-touring and they said that they would go find the color i wanted (white). i put down a $200 deposit. it's been two days and they still say that they are "searching" for the car.

Check any receipt / document from the dealership for information about deposits and refunds. Contact the dealership and tell the rep you need an answer on the white car by this Friday or you will want your deposit back. Escalate to the manager if you are not satisfied with the answer.

Best deal on 2006-08 Mazda3? by sigamy

I'm looking for a used Mazda3 Sport with under 35k miles. I'm very near Wayne Mazda in northern NJ. They have a ton of used 2006-2008 models that would work for me. These are listed from $13,995 to $16,995. One specific car is a loaded 2006 Sport with 30k miles for $14,995.

How much room I have on these used models? What would be a good deal? I'd like to be at $13k OTD. Is that possible? Can I get it even lower?

Are there any big advantages to a 2008 over a 2007/06?

Leased for 36 mos/10k miles/yr, cap cost $17,729, which is $500 BELOW invoice-very happy with the deal and the car. Got first color choice, and dealer had to trade to get it.

I got the red car instead... cost me $17600 with all fees included... i'm fairly pleased with my purchase.. i'm sure i could have gotten a better deal somewhere else but the red is very hard to come by in the northeast.. especially a manual transmission... i ended up NOT going to the wayne NJ dealership because i checked them out on the BBB website and they got an F rating... i'm sure others have had great experiences with them but regardless.. put me on edge...

thanks to everyone for their insight and input...

S Plan price by belle11

Has anyone used the S-Plan to purchase a Mazda 3? I am eligible to use the plan but I want to make sure I understand it before I go into a dealer.

The website says that rebates and incentives should be deducted from the S plan price including dealer cash incentives, top level dealer engagement or stair step programs.

How will I know if the dealer is deducting those items from the price. Is there a way to find out if any of those incentives and/or rebates are available now?

3i Touring in MA by longislander1

This is the best I was able to do on price around Worcester, MA for a 3i Touring with automatic, gunmetal color (numbers below approximate):
$17,971 negotiated price
$1,111,94 sales tax
$239 dealer fee (I asked them to remove this from the original negotiated price of $18,210 so they could add it back on at the bottom of the sales invoice, where it's pre-printed.)
$125 dealer fee for tags
$115 tags
$19,561.94 OTD

I was helping a relative shop for the car and I found the two dealers in the area pretty immovable on price beyond their only internet offers. Both were initially willing to let me walk. Of course, where I live on Long Island, I'd have 10 dealers to choose from in the same radius, so there might be more competition. I would have liked another $500 off in addition to the dealer fee, which is largely profit.
