Anyone paying anything less than msrp on a mazdaspeed3?

Also, what dealer fees did you pay? They seem to like to tack that on to the 'price" these days, so it helps to know if you paid msrp plus fees or msrp and no fees or whatever.

That's the exact car I am looking at, except an '07. When I priced up the invoice I came to $17,900.I have not received a firm number from the dealer yet but I was hoping to get it for $400 under invoice.

For another $500 maybe I should be looking at the 08's if that is all the price difference is.

My car has a boat load of problems so I'm gonna try again for an '07 GT. More features and hopefully the issues I've had have been worked out.

Galaxy Grey GT MSRP- $23,150 and he's only offering $22,206 (invoice is $21,545). Again, it's an '07 so don't you think they should be more aggressive with lowering the price? They've also low balled my trade in as Edmunds had $12,725 and they offered $11,500. Sounds like I have more negotiating to do, eh???

a dealer has offered a 2008 Mazda 3 'S' Sport Sedan with a 5 speed manual and Moonroof/6CD package for $17,562($18,900 msrp) plus $218 t/t. should i jump on this? would asking to addd leather seating, and offering $17,000 t/t out the door be asking too much? also, i'm not too familiar with when the year-end date is for the model, would anyone know when it is? i might wait until then to jump on a 2007 instead.

Always negotiate. Keep in mind, Edmunds is a publisher, they are not in the "car business". Their trade values are not an accurate measurement of true vehicle value.

Thanks for the reply. I checked out Kelly Blue Book and they listed the value at $13,545. I'll set $13,000 as my lowest limit and go from there since I dew have a few dings and dents. I live in the city and park on the street so...

Sometimes thinking what KBB or Edmunds says is law may actually hurt you, and cause you to pass on a good deal. I know in my store, I have yet to sell a pre-owned vehicle for what KBB or Edmunds says it's worth. I always list the price lower then them, and I usually sell for even lower then that.

My advise it to have the dealer show you the book that they use to asses vehicle values, and have then explain how they came to their number. Here in the North East, we use Galves. Down south and in the mid west, I think they use whats called the "black book"
