Mediocre. The $19000 Mazda 3 regularly sells for 2500-3000 off MSRP. Hit 15-20 dealers end of month thru mazda website with emails and your colors and specs and see what shows up. You should get more off. Work the best 3 against one another.

Good luck

Hi

I received a price for a Mazda3 Hatchback Sport Automatic:
$18100+tax+doc(55)+DMV (invoice is 18031)

I also received a price for the Mazda3 Hatchback Touring Automatic:
$18900+tax+doc(55)+DMV (invoice is 18727)

Another dealer quoted me 17632 for the Sport and 18998 for the touring, +tax, title

Are these any good?

See #3127. The $19xxx hatchback sells more often for $3000 off than the sedan.

Good Luck

Hi jfritsch.
I'm not sure what you mean by $3000 off.

The hatch touring auto has an MSRP of $19970 and invoice of $18727.

I've been offered it at $18900.

According to Consumer Report, there is a dealer incentive of $388. So i guess the dealer paid 18727-388=$18339.

How can they offer it at 3000 below MSRP i.e. $16970?
I've never heard of anybody paying almost 2 grand below invoice for a Mazda3.

Can it be done?

Get your bids toward the end of the month and find out. July and August are your best bets. The trouble with the "what the dealer paid" stuff is that there have been unadvertised incentives in play for more than 15 years.

A 19700 MSRP model wholesales used for about $14000 after year 1 so you want a good chunk off a new one. 3000 off is more common on the Hatch though (and as you can see hardly giving the car away). Check out my message 14394 on the Accord prices paid forum for more useful info on how to buy a car.

hi jjf,

i'm looking for a s GT automatic and i really want the 0.9% financing that ends on july 9th. (not sure if i can get it, but i'd like to try for it.)

is it gonna be a bad time to contact the dealers now? (june 24/25th) or should i wait for july/aug, and hope that they may have financing offers in those months too..

thanks!

Sorry for the late reply.

I mispoke. I have a '00 Jetta. The new VW's aren't very fuel efficient, compared with the Mazda or a Honda.

I was also rather disappointed in the build quality of the Jetta, compared with previous VWs I've owned (I have a '90 Corrado that I'm reluctantly going to part with and it has much better build quality than the '00... and it's 17 years old!).

The new VWs are nice but after I test drove the Mazda and read the consumer reports recommendation, I was basically sold.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

I went for a longer finance period but my credit is average, as far as I know.

Mazda 3 s Touring Automatic PRICE by rocketzo

I got quote of 18,879 plus TTL only. The dealer confirmed that ONLY TTL would be added and no other processing or AD fees. If that is the case is this a good deal for a 2007 Mazda 3 s Touring with Automatic Trans?

Id really appreciate any comparison info and also hope this quote helps others looking at similar trim!

Thanks!

Hi Rocketzo
I was also looking at the Mazda3 s Touring Auto Hatch in the Chicago area.

Got quotes of 18998 and 18900 +TTL.

They were both by phone. I reckon you could chip a couple of hundred off but it seems to be about right.

Invoice is 18727 according to Edmunds. I bought the Consumer Report thing that tells you what the dealer actually paid. According to that there is a 388 dollars hold back for the dealer, meaning the real invoice is 18339 or lower.

Good luck.
