msrp 18010, inovice 17081, got 100 over invoice. in PA, 7% tax and 145 transaction fee. Is it a resasonable price, though higher than I thought for a compact car. |

I just got an S Touring Sedan 06 with the Moonroof package (lip spoiler, 6-cd changer, and moonroof). They gave me a special on it, $18,874 (MSRP claimed at 19,300). I bought it for $18,500. This plus tax and license ended up costing me 21,447 out the door in Washington State. Does that sound reasonable for you guys at this point in time?

Replying to: onrop (Aug 26, 2006 10:29 pm) $18,500 plus 8.8% tax ($1628) plus about $280 for title and registration would be $20,408. It looks like they threw in over $1000 in bogus fees somewhere. Invoice on that model with options would be $18,929 so the price of $18,500 looks good (assuming you got an automatic, if not subtract $855) but they screwed you with added fees. Sorry.  'duff

they crappiest mazda dealership in the whole bay area, very rude salesperson. Always cheat the customer by saying they have the car you are looking for, but when you get there , they will rip u off by selling you another crappy car. |

Is it possible to get a basic 2006 Mazda3 for under $13000 at the end of their year?

Does anyone know if we can expect the 2007 Mazda3 to be hard to get for a few months? There is only 1 in my area right now. I'm going to be looking for a basic model and it seems like the s models are the ones that have been easier to find. This could be because there aren't many for sale yet, but I think it's because the cars sell very fast once they get to the dealership. What is a fair price for a 3i with a/c only or a 3i touring with no options (if I can find one in the next couple weeks)? Any help would be appreciated

Replying to: onrop (Aug 28, 2006 8:28 pm) I took the license fee info from the Edmunds loan calculator which seems to pretty reasonable maybe give or take a hundred bucks. I don't have a breakdown for you. Some one more an expert than me would be able to answer your question about disputing the charges but my gut feeling is that once you signed the dotted line you probably won't be able to dispute it. Unless they mischarged for taxes or registration, any documentation fees, dealer prep fees, owner's daughter's college fund fee, etc. are legal. -'duff |
