Is it possible to get a 3 without the sunroof, but the Bose stereo system??? Would getting the 6cd upgrade also include the better speakers? Thanks for any insight.

NO...all option and package information is clearly outlined in the 2006 Mazda 3 brochures, on MAZDAUSA.COM, and the automobile websites such as Edmu... OH, this one.

The reason car sales people think customers are stupid - is because many are!

They get them to agree to accept thousands of dollars less for their trade in - they get them to buy things like $600 paint protection packages - $2,000 extended warranties & agree to 18% interest rates (even if they have good credit) - they also talk them into paying $500+ document (or other made up) fees.

I have always thought that many customers agree to this stuff because they are afraid to either say NO - or because they don't want to look like they don't know what they are doing - so when the sales person says - this is a standard fee we charge all customers they just say - OK.

Mazda 3s 5-door price and trade by jazzman1

I was just offered a price of 19,300 by a dealer in NJ for a 2006 Mazda 3s touring 5-door with the sunroof/6CD package and the automatic. I was considering offering 19,000. Any thoughts on this price would be appreciated. I am also considering trading in my 2006 Toyota Solara Convertible to "downsize" to this car. Why is this a good idea?

Hi, I have a question for any and/or all Mazda dealers out there... Two days ago I purchased a 2006 3i (I love it!) through the S plan. When I originally test drove the 3i, I was not aware that I could use this plan and so did not inform the salesman at that time. They did not have what I wanted on their lot, but the salesman was going to check around and call me back. After the weekend, when I went to work I found out about the S plan - great! I called my sales guy right away and told him - no problem, they participated. And yes, he agreed that the price would be the invoice price. He had not located the car I wanted though, so I went online and checked Mazda inventory. I found two at a dealership 60 miles away that were what I wanted. I had no problem driving that distance for the car, but since this other guy had been working with me, I decided to check with him to see if he wanted me to contact that dealer myself or if he still wanted to do it. He said no problem - they work deals with that dealer all the time and could probably make a swap with them. He called back in two days - my first color choice was gone, but the second was available - did I want it? Yes, I said - thanks for doing this for me! Okay, they get the car and I go down to sign all the paperwork, expecting to pay invoice and TTL. Boy, was I surprised to learn that I had a $399.00 dealer fee (on top of the $19.50 filing fee which I had no problem with)! What exactly is that for I asked him?? I was so upset that I honestly don't remember what he told me, but the paperwork says "This charge represents costs and additional profit to the seller/dealer for items such as inspecting, cleaning and adjusting new and used vehicles and preparing documents relating to the sale". Wow! I didn't trade in a car, so I just paid them 400 bucks to swap a car with another dealer, clean it and fill it with gas? Oh yeah, and typing up some papers. This doesn't seem reasonable to me, but I am not in that business so I thought I would check with you experts out there.. Keep in mind that I told the salesman I had no problem going to the other dealer myself, but he still wanted the deal. Any comments and/or info would be appreciated! (before I fill out my survey card I will be getting)... Thanks

So Im getting a Mazda 3s touring fully loaded. Was offered $100 over the invoice price which was 22,375. After taxes etc, however, the estimated cost (not the final cost) is looking like 23,916.41. This doesn't seem like much of a deal to me? Are there any discounts out there for Mazda? whats the 411 on the college grad deal? ANY advice or pointers on getting this price lowered would be great..this is my first car so I don't have a trade-in, or much experience in this whole process. Also whats this about an advertising fee? Also, since the dealership didnt have the car I had to leave a deposit of $500.00. which I get back once they get the car or get back in full if they cant locate the car in 2 weeks? is this standard practice? (i mean i know its too late now since I gave them the money but still a little curious) Is that really negotiable? Im reading other postings and seems like everyone is getting a better deal (under 20000) HELP PLEASE BEFORE I OVER PAY!!!

I am going through the same process with leaving a deposit for the Mazda3 I just left it saturday and am hoping that he doesn't run off with my money. Is it 100% that if I decide not to buy hte car at all that I don't get my deposit back?

I am in the process of trading in my 2006 SE Solara Convertible for a 2006 Winning Blue Mazda 3s touring 5-door with the 6CD/Sunroof and an automatic. I live in NY and used a large Mazda dealership in NJ to get the invoice price, ~$18,700 on the Mazda 3 and got a good price on my Solara as trade. Looking forward to a smaller, fun to drive vehicle that has more cargo options.
