I don't know where you live but I saw the ad for the 500 dollar rebate in a New Jersey paper called the Newark Star Ledger. The dealer that that had the ad in the paper was Sansone Mazda in Woodbridge, NJ. Sansone also sells Nissan's, Lincoln/Mercury's, and Toyota's.

Do you guys think the grad rebate will last past the March 1st deadline? I believe they had it when the car was first launched until Jan 2nd, and then extended it after that. Does Mazda usually keep similar rebates around all year?

Just got my Mazda 3i here in IL. I applied for the $500 dollar rebate for college grads, which was not half bad. I also worked them to down to $16,500 for a silver auto tranny, A/C, power package, 16 inch alloys, 6 cd indash player, moonroof, and safty package. I thought I did a pretty good job? Yes, no?

Most manufacturers offer that grad rebate (or some sort of grad "bonus") and the rebates are pretty much perpetual. Don't expect it to go away any time soon.

I just got home with my new Black Mica GS, with Air, AT and Power Package. Paid $21070 plus 15% sales tax, put down $1500 cash plus $1000 trade in, included disability insurance on the lease, and for a 48 month term am paying $311/month.

Steele Mazda in NS is where I went, was reasonably happy with the experience.

I assume the rebate is eligible college, and not high school, graduates?

Yes, it is for soon-to-be or recent college graduates + current graduate school students.

Enlighten me. I dont mean to start trouble but I can get a WRX for less than $21,000. granted it may not be loaded. Just curious.

is over sales projections for what Mazda had in mind I think. This is not another discounted Mazda product like Mazda usually has.
