If that includes the $560 destination charge then the price is $173 above invoice. If the dealer doesn't have an insane doc fee then the price seems very good.

My 3 has your options plus leather & xenon and I paid $300 over invoice plus a $250 doc fee and I was happy with the price.

Hi there! Just bought a Mazda 3 hatchback with ABS/EBD + side airbags at Milam Mazda, Puyallup, WA (1 hour south of Seattle). The S-plan price was $17,200 + T&L, minus $500 college grad rebate, for a total of $18,500. If you're in the Seattle area, I highly recommend Milam Mazda. Great guys, they get down to business and they don't try to give you any BS.

I had a good dealership experience picking up my new RX-8 from Mazda Knoxville. I mentioned to my salesman that I "knew" some folks looking for deals on the 3. He said around invoice or a little under for the ones he has left. So if Knoxville, TN is within your travel radius I recommend you look them up and see if they have something you like.

I can't post the salesman's name or a link to the dealership, but if you Google Mazda Knoxville the link will come up - and the salesman is the Internet sales manager and his name is all over the web page.

BTW, they took my Gerber rebate but did require the original Gerber card.

Good luck!
Dennis

$500 College grad rebate? I thought that expired at the end of June...how'd you manage to get it at the beginning of July? Just curious if you somehow managed to get the grad rebate past the official deadline...

Got a mazda 3 5 speed with airbag/abs/ebd, moonroof and 6 cd package, xenon and tire pressure, rear bumper step plate, rear skirt diffuser, wheel arch moldings, cargo mat, wheel locks. MSRP 20645. Invoice 19144. Paid 19068+TTL.

Only 1 car (without waiting for unk time for delivery) in TX had 5 speed with airbag package. 1 car (confirmed with other dealers in further locations)! Probably could have had better pricing if I went for automatic which were plentiful.

That sounds like a good deal to me. I am in Dallas and finding a 5 speed in the color and options I want has been difficult. Which dealership in Houston did you buy from? Did you have to haggle much to get that price? No problem with the A/C?
I hear that the 2006 models are not here until October and the Gerber rebate I have expires at the end of July. Hmmm...price or selection seems to be the choice.

I bought a new Mazda3 S 6/30. Already run 680 miles.(drove out from dealer lot 9 miles.) . Great car. Happy to own it. My one is standard with Auto. Tran. and doesn't purchase any other option. Pay for $16,000 (after grad. and gerber refunds) before tax and fee. I am not sure it is a good deal. But I am O.K. on it. It took me 2 hours to finish all the deals & sign the paper with dealer in Punte Hill---Mazda.

Yes, echoing chuck12, at what dealer did you purchase your vehicle? Did you deal with any others? I am in Houston too, and I am considering a Mazda 3s (also considering a Corolla\Civic\Camry\Accord\CRV).

From what I can gather on this board, it appears that many are getting their Mazda3 around invoice or a little below before TTL and before the Gerber rebate. Now, maybe I missed it on this thread, but it sounds like some are able to use the rebate certificate (via email) without the "original offer" (sent by mail by Gerber/ACOG) and some are required to present the original offer? And I guess the majority of you are "non-S-Plan, non-original offer recipients"? I ask, because I received my email certificate, am not a subscriber to ACOG or an orginal offer recipient (nor an S-Plan member) and I am just trying to figure out the likelihood of me saving an additional $500 (this might help me narrow down my car search!). Is the rebate taken right off the purchase price or are you just mailed a $500 check? I thought I saw an earlier post where somebody "received their check in the mail" and "sure enough, this offer is legit."

Also, after reading the earlier post regarding the 2006 model offering, I too have been curious about their arrival. The local salesman I have been dealing with said they don't anticipate receiving any until November. I am not sure how reliable that is, but take it for what its worth, I will be buying well before then. Thanks for all of the info!

After reading about them here, I went through all the contortions to get them (signed up at Gerber, called the ACOG people, etc.) but ended up not getting a Mazda (boo hoo, it was a tough decision), so if anyone wants them, send me an SAE (see my profile) or stamp w/address and I will mail either one or both, just let me know which. Never found out if you can use them together.
